There is a long road to get down before any of this (apart from the imbeciles who jumped the gun by years in meaninglessly 'recognising a Palestinian state') becomes reality. First job before all others is the extermination of Hamas. This may not be that far away, particularly if they are having to fight to survive against multiple warlords as well as a revisiting IDF due to breaking agreements regarding 24 corpses.

 They’ve been in for a shit ton of criticism from health experts. Especially when childhood diseases that were pretty much eradicated are now making a comeback.

 Him getting his flu jab & Covid booster isn’t evidence his administration are pro vaccines.

If I thought Hamas could be eliminated only by shooting/bombing them then I’d be right alongside you. Don’t know enough about all the other gun waving groups in Gaza, although read yesterday about Hamas clashing with the Dughmush clan. Hopefully they’ll all eventually kill themselves and leave the civilians in peace.

Certainly is pal. It's a great little run for a drink or two now. There's 4 or 5 new bars been opened on Victoria Road.

One great gaff the the Back Stage who have live music all time and massive area at the front.

I'm certainly no fan of Trump, and feel it's a sad indictment to US politics that a celebrity businessman is what they've ended up with, twice over, but I'm not sure you can knock his work on the world stage. (I can fully understand how he captured the vote btw)

Perhaps my judgement of what he does is clouded by how he does it. Horrible man.  Where to start. Domestically I think the US economy is stagnating at best, import “tariffs” (aka taxes on US consumers) will cripple them, it’s a massively divided country (by every measure, especially wealth), minorities are increasingly persecuted and vilified, he abuses presidential power against anyone who has different views, he’s dismantling healthcare and judicial infrastructure, he thinks he’s above the law, etc etc.  Internationally I think he’s weak and unbeknowningly is manipulated and humoured by world leaders so they can get they want.  Painful but necessary for them. They must roll their eyes and laugh behind his back. His actions over the last 2 weeks do deserve credit in the middle east, but he should have done that 12mo ago and saved about 30000 lives. He is incredibly weak in his support of Ukraine and has pandered to Putin. Got to admit he liked his dictators in preference to allies. In addition to all this are his lovely character traits as a bigoted, racist, sexiest, misogynist pathological lying narcissist.

what's he actually done though?

the last ceasefire in Isreal he was involved didnt' last long, and it remains to be seen how long this one lasts - he's not the only one involved and he posted socials of the Gaza riviera, so not sure what he's trying to achieve there

then there's Russia - he said he'd bring peace, so he went to meet Putin - the outcome of that meeting was he parroted every Putin claims like Zelensky is a dictator who started the war - they then tried to humiliate him on TV.  Putin then ignored Trump so now he's siding with Ukraine and offering them missiles
