Israel have an administrative detention law where they aren’t required to give a reason for arrest or even give the detainee a right to trial. No doubt some are arrested for valid reasons & are a violent threat like you say. However, Israel’s data showed that only a quarter detained were fighters . There is widespread evidence of Israel taking innocent civilians, even journalists & children & locking them away. With no right to trial & no reason given . If that’s not taking hostages, then I’ve no idea what is.

 Your unconditional support for one side just makes you look naive. You’ve painted this conflict as good vs evil, when the reality is far more complex. You don’t achieve peace by only blaming one side.

If you can present a rational argument explaining how this administrative detention law isn't a form of kidnapping then I'm all ears. Good luck. You'll need it to try & defend something seen as unlawful and an international crime. It's odd you're trying to justify it.

Gaza had elections before the war - but I wouldn't class them as a 'Western Liberal Democracy' either. 

Israel are a pariah to me now. Although I expect Keir Starmer will take the path of pragmatism - which seems to be his style.

A very worthwhile watch: there is only one "pariah" as far as I can see, and that is extreme Islam. 

It even pervades through the society and its debate, with some Jews too scared to go. That is within one of the supposed world renown societies. 

Throughout all this, no one has come up with a better alternative to remove Hamas from Gaza. No doubt the IDF made mistakes, and no doubt some individuals will have overstepped the mark, however, once again, we come to the behaviour of the terrorists towards their own people.

Sort themselves out, and who knows, Israel might not have to respond in such a forceful manner. 

Anyway, I've just had curried lamb rump chops, with spinach and potato curry too.

Not exactly Palestinian food, but some similar spices in there.

Delicious.
