Seems everything being said against him is being taken as fact. Is there anything backing up these allegations apart from claims by people who have had a public fall out with him?

Yep. It was similar to when he “attacked” his missus. Front page headlines on how he was beating her. Claims made by a neighbour who obviously couldn’t stand him. All turned out to be lies. Don’t get me wrong if he’s guilty and all of these allegations are true then I hope he gets what’s coming to him. Seems many on here have already turned jury.

That's the point of the enquiry, to find out what actually went on.

The picture currently being painted by the enquiry isn't good at the moment. The whole, 'nature's way of dealing with old people' is from written notes from Sir Patrick Vallance directly at the time, and saying that flip flopping between tiers isn't good.

The you have Johnson's WhatApp messages to Lee Cain about the medium age of people dieing which he then completely went back on because you couldn't change the policy due to the lack of decent testing AND he himself then changed his mind once he went through Covid himself.

So, you've got direct diaries from someone whithout a political axe to grind, and then direct written messages from the PM at the time. As I say, its not good, nor is it make-beileve by someone grinding axes - and indeed as I say that's the point of this. To find out what is people trying to paint themselvs into a better light and the actual facts.

Yeah - I'm not sure he does, but then again when you've backed a leader and they've shown themselves to be unworthy of your vote its frustrating so I get where he's coming from. I think people are just watching the evidence has its being scrutinised daily and as most people can see, the picture being painted isn't good.

In order to change my mind I would have had to make an opinion on something first. What opinion are you claiming I have made throughout covid and how it was handled?

It was a general question.  I think most posters on here, at some time or another have admitted they got something wrong.  You, and a few others, just seem to use whataboutery to deflect.

To be fair the swine flu response plans were all.based around a lot of people dying - that was why the strategy of covid coalesced around this let it spread message at the start and led to the longer lockdowns and further deaths.

The plans weren't massively fit for.purpose anyway, so it being binned off isn't the biggest issue here.

You seem to think these "allegations against him" are equivalent to an anonymous neighbour selling a story to the press that they heard some shouting coming from his apartment. They're not.
