Just listened to this Tory MP talking to Marr

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alicia_Kearns

It looks there may be hope for the party yet

She needs to do some serious shit removal, though

Former Labourite as well...

As close to a one nation social liberalite as you'll get.

The problem for the Tories is that the grassroots won't like her and more movement to the left and the public will ask why not vote Labour who are claiming that centre ground.

I suspect a lurch to the right for them if they lose the GM before a gradual climb back to the centre ground.

Tbh, didnt know much about her.

But she spoke sense, with emotion, honesty and clearly thinks braverman is a bad egg

Think ive heard her before talking about Ukraine, which would fit with her brief, and that was an equally good listen

She's often a guest on The News Agents podcast. Apart from an annoying habit of asking a question to herself and answering it when speaking, she does come across pretty well.

My favourite Tory is Rory Stewart mind. Just thoroughly honest and progressive. I've no idea why he's a Tory.

You’re not suggesting that the Tories would be cynical enough to throw money at their mates whilst our allies are dying?

Deary me 🙃

Yeah, Stewart is one of the better Tories.
I also like Sayeeda Warsi's take on many things.

Johnson wanting to have an injection of Covid live on TV to show it was harmless is surely one of the most amazing revelations at a time when we think we have heard it all.

Local travel agents specialising in exotic diving tours just folded owing £4.3M in Covid loans. Sold straight on to same directors in a parent company. Even with an office and 27 staff how did they get away with racking up that loan?

I read that as erotic diving tours. Bit of waterplay anyone?

Patrick Vallance has admitted today that they could not get Boris Johnson to understand simple scientific concepts. He could not grasp the information they were giving him.

This Covid enquiry is confirming what we all knew, Bozo is a bumbling cretin who was not fit to be PM.

I agree. His ineptitude does not excuse the corruption he allowed to become embedded in government or the inappropriate people he appointed into ministerial roles.
