Not in Crawley Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Been up for ages for reading tickets for my eldest, and still can't do the barclay card purchase for another 10 minutes....boooooo. She's happy with the headliners, apart from The Killers (the band that refuses to die off) love seeing all the kids getting excited about their first festivals. The joy of pop! Quote

Seen all the usual bitching about the line up from folk who won't accept that R&L is a pop festival now and has been for years. Quote

Music changes, and since the death of T in the Park and a few others R&L have taken that space. Also, since it was put together it's not been a rock festival. And alternative covers a much broader base now. If you want 'classic' rock, download or Glastonbury, or bloodstock have folk covered I'd have thought. Quote

Tempted to do the Thursday night too so I don't miss a song I want to hear. If I was doing bloodstock it'd be Biohazard over Megadeth (like Maiden I can't stand em) Killswitch Engage on the Friday is tempting though. Quote

SP. 80s throwbacks who don't take themselves seriously. Can understand your comment. Still, I think they are a good neets entertainment. Maiden. Not a fan but looking forward to popping my IM cherry. Kiss. Not a big fan at all. Seen them twice and they are probably the best shows I've attended. Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Kevin Bridges on top form in Leeds tonight. Great to watch a comedian on stage rather than on a massive screen behind. Probably a contributing factor as to why me and Mrs both enjoyed it far more than we did seeing Peter Kay the other week. Quote

Can't beat watching a comedian within a few feet of them. Shit loads that are better than Bridges and Kay. Just don't get the same coverage. Quote
