Talking of ticket prices, anyone used stub hub? I was trying to get a couple of tickets for a Hamburg game when we're there next month. Went on the site, got quoted £45 each for 2. Got to checkout and they were asking £178. They'd added 'handling charges' or similar. Robbing fecks.

Flogging Molly have cancelled all gigs in 2025 coz front man Dave King is "battling a very serious health condition". Gutted. They're one of the best live bands around.

PM me re ticket stuff. It's a game. I'm off to the ticketing conference in Manchester in March to say how we're fucking up and we need to be stronger to the inside commissions.

But, essentially, the seat you buy is only as much value as the popularity of it. It's no different from airlines. Never go in to gig tickets first. There will always be better seats.

So for NIN we bought 10 seats, decided which were the best, and then resold the rest. Made a bit of money of it as well.

The conference? Midland hotel I believe.

Must be a different one for sports ticketing and theatres then, as the sports one is at the cricket ground

Yeah the TPC is normally for those working in live arts, so you get all the agents but those dealing with theatre, music etc

No doubt you’ll correct me, but doesn’t that make you a bit of a tout?

It actually makes me 100% a tout doing something like this.

That's a bit disappointing, mate.

Yeah - it's not great, it paid for the commission TM charged me on my tickets.

I mean, people can pick them up on the TM resale for this gig very easily. No idea why someone would pay that wee bit extra for what were pretty rubbish seats.

But yes, I totally agree, morally it's pretty indefensible.

Just bagged Pulp for June at the CoOp

some good looking gigs there in June

just all a bit close together

07/06 - Morrissey
17/06 - Nine Inch Nails
21/06 - Pulp
22/06 - Iron Maiden

can't do Pulp anyway as already going to see Sparks at night at Apollo, but I would like to see them, wish I'd gone to Castlefield Bowl

Pulp sorted. June is gna be one seriously costly month and there's a Glastonbury resale attempt to come yet. Bug Club at Gorilla tomorrow neet on the back of 3 points.

They were amazing… dunno if the missus bagged them today. She had them eyed up on presale, but not sure I fancy the venue

The venue is decent enough, really enjoyed the smashing pumpkins there but it didn't suit Weezer

Not sure it will suit Pulp or NIN either, much rather see those at Apollo or Academy

But sure it will be a good Iron Maiden gig
