I'm at Slipknot there on the Tuesday. Gotta be a mental 4 days for the staff that.

Must say it's ace on the conourses. Reminds me of Wembley. All different bars and stuff. Really well run.

My first trip there normally too much of a cheapskate to pay for arena shows. Other than beer prices and the ball ache that is getting home I've heard good things.

I’ve got a ticket for the VIP bar at Paul Heaton but still looking for a Paul McCartney ticket ideally for the Sunday

Run by Shedian Smiths management company. Small team but do well as these older acts need the cash that festivals provide.

Anyway, off to Lanegan tribute concert tonight

I doubt kings of Leon are strapped for cash, more likely decent offers

But they have lifestyles to keep up and releasing records makes no money anymore and your own tour costs a fortune.

These heritage acts rinse the festival circuit because it works for them. Lower costs on touring, some money fir the gig and a summer bump on album sales to that key middle aged demographic who will still buy albums.

I mean look at that Victorious festival in Portsmouth. What a hodge podge bunch of performers that is.

The amount of 80s bands I've been to those year at sold-out venues suggest the demand is still there

Speaking of which, Toto and Christopher Cross at the Arena in Feb now booked.

Their finest hour.

haha

never seen this

he said this was why

Recounting the incident, he told NME: “I was having a personal low point, and was moving house the next day so I was under tremendous amounts of stress.

“Without getting into it too much, being a former marine with stress disorder and white wine… shit happens! I’m not making excuses – that was on me.”

he shagged Kat Deeley as well a while back

Shed 7 at Victoria warehouse last night. Great gig as always and I'm really starting to like that venue after a few issues in the early days. Pints were £8 sommat which almost felt reasonable after Coop live. Uber took ages afterwards, including a couple of tosser drivers who accepted the ride then dropped us minutes later. Presumably for a bigger earner.

Still can't stand Victoria Warehouse, every thing about it is rubbish especially when compared with the countless other venues in Manc. Though it has saved me money on gig tickets recently as I just don't go if it's there.
