Depends what you're into I guess.

Last time i went in one they sold sex toys. I'm trusting nowt from these shops up my lady bits.

They weren’t sex toys BB, they were Thermos Flasks.

Pound shops are good for Easter eggs, crafting bits for the kids, some garden stuff at spring and tshirts that say 'if lost take me to the pub.'

Oh and Halloween kit (although Wilko is better on that front to be fair)

Pound stretcher,  B&m and home bargains are all similar in what they stock.

Pound stretcher used to haveva lot if end of line bargains but changed their business plan 2 years back.

I'd imagine all 3 see a regular kick off like that video

Saw a programme about pound stretcher. Owned by some Indian guy who had a load of his mates as buyers. They'd buy absolutely anything if it was cheap without even knowing what the fuck it was or whether it would sell in the UK.

Think it was the pound land guy who went in to try and sort them out but gave up as they were a lost cause.

Home Bargains is a different class. Well, the one at Middlebrook is. Decent sets of Kettlebells on sale currently. You'd not get that at Pundland. Although Poundland's Soup mugs are all class. Very popular.

Nothing screams middle-class more than having mugs specifically for soup

Of course I fucking do. What do you use when you have a dinner party? Or is that a BBQ over a metal drum in Little Lever?

Four sets of cultlery - one everyday set, one black to match one dining set, one gold to match another and the chargers.

Don't tell me, you're not proper salt of the earth until you serve your guests food in a washed out dog bowl sat on mismatching chairs

Sure there are two Poundlands on the same street in Blackpool.

Nah we cook our Richmond sausages over the top of the car on fire in our front gardens, whilst the kids fend for themselves and we drink our happy shopper lagers. Duh.

I'm proud of the fact I've never hosted a dinner party.

Because.

A. I'm usually at work when it's dinnertime.

B. I'm very proletarian.

And...

C. I don't wish to hear some interminably boring cunt prattle on about their recent 'travels' in Ethiopia or their volunteering at a food bank in Jaywick...

Then another cunt pipes up about their travels in Somalia and how it's much more unspoiled than Ethiopia, and how they've been volunteering at a food bank in war-torn Damascus.

I've a mate who still goes 'travelling' - when he gets back I always ask him "So, how was your holidays?" just to see him bristle with indignation.

don't be wasting water by washing the bowl out.

Anyway, we actually have some posh soup bowls with spoons and there own little plate/tray for the bread  - like this type of thing

original_traditional-soup-bowl-and-spoon

I honestly can't remember if we've ever used them. I saw them when we moved house, and they've been stashed in the pantry with the "Chinese Meal Dinner Set" that we've also acquired over the years and never used

Easy solution. Just don't invite cunts.

We use the chinese soup set a lot as we make loads of chinese chicken soup because the kids love it.

That looks needlessly large

Why do you need instructions on where to put the soup and bread?

Anyone who hosts or attends a dinner party is by definition a cunt...

Real people invite people over to drink cider and end up drunkenly grappling on the floor with each other after some minor disagreement.

Besides, dinner is a meal ate between 11am to 2pm...

Dinner in the evening is only correct if you wear top hat and tails, and the meal is served by a maid and a butler.

From under silver dome things.
