There is an interview somewhere- maybe linked on here- where he basically said what you infer. He always wanted to play for Wales, and only went to Aus when he felt he wasn't going to get time with Wales. Was Tony Cascarino Irish based on the same logic. To be honest it’s a futile argument but I find it odd you can change nationalities when it suits. That said Cheese is also right in that he was born there so can clearly play for them. The residency rule makes a mock of it all anyway. Verdict.
