Was a fairly recent thing but closed now, some mates went and showed me videos they took it, looked like something off The Wire inside there, cables sticking out of walls, holes in staircases, proper death trap. Monroes in Great Harwood was dangerous for different reasons Opened at midnight til 8am on Saturday nights only. No alcohol licence Toilets that barely worked. Didn't get going til 4am, once all other venues shut there was a race over to Monroes to keep the party going Had actual pikeys come from as far as Lancaster. Michael Bisping was a DJ there when I used to go. He gave it all up to become UFC champion! 🤣 🤣 🤣 Quote

They're the best ones. When Islington Mill in Salford first opened it was like that. Wires hanging down from the ceiling, bottom few bricks of what used to be a wall still there for you to trip over on your way to the bar that consisted of a couple of kitchen fridges and a wallpaper pasting table. Had some top nights in there as well. Edited March 6, 2022 by boogs Quote

Sankeys was ace, especially in the mid 90’s. Sorry to bang on about sound systems but there’s was one called a phazon system (might have spelled that wrong) possibly the loudest system I’ve ever heard. I remember being on the centre of the dance floor and the DJ mixed 7 nation army into blue Monday, the bass was too much! I ended up at the bar catching my breath! Quote
Biggish Dave Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 Never really one for clubs but if I did go, my 2 regulars were Mr G’s and Suttys Place (sluttys) in Blackburn. Some right trouts used to go to sluttys, belting place Quote

To Zico's chagrin I didn't do owt with her either. Quote
