To be fair, there were fucking loads of them during the game. Looking from North Stand they basically made a high-viz human fence down either side of IL1. They must have gone downstairs on 90 mins to prepare for the mass exodus.

I took this at the game the other week. Last night, there were twice as many coppers in that line and there were also lined up on the stairway to the right of the picture, effectively penning IL1 in.

I don't think the club have a choice. I don't buy into all the "Neil Hart wants to ruin the matchday experience" stuff. Far more likely these decisions are based on police/EFL instructions. Be nice if the club could clarify it though. I might be wrong.

they weren’t under the stand at FT it was a line of stewards directing people away from the closed exits. Neither were they outside preventing anyone from going in the direction of the hotel. Absolute shambles. 
 

but as been mentioned above I don’t think in this instance the club have much choice. With all the debate about that block opening next season & the apparent pressure from the OB and council it’s highly probable it’s insisted upon and the club picking up the bill

but like another poster said you can’t chuck bottles etc to opposition fans from 4 blocks away! Pointless against likes of Lincoln & morecambe on Tuesday nights what’s more laughable is that Lincoln took the piss

be interesting to know if our police bill has gone up recently because if I was the club I’d be questioning why this is necessary on a Tuesday

I really like JDB and I've happy to see him start games, but its not long since he had one of the worst halves of football by any of our players this season, I think it was v Lincoln, absolutely everything bounced off him and every pass turned into possession for Lincoln.  So he can have his bad games as much as the next man, added to the fact that Baka is scoring goals as much as anyone over the last month or 2.  JDB scored a nice goals last night, but if the roles had been reversed its easy to imagine Baka would have bagged that chance.

Whats most concerning is the mental thing - reduced to forcing it and not trusting the process. That diag we kept trying was doing my head in. They scored and we lost our heads.

Adams is a shit cunt but they did what he likes - pressed us well and fucked our rhythm up. Especially when Johnston & Aimson got it. We went very predictable and lacking in tempo. Dapo especially guilty of slowing it down and no r moving it quickly enough 

Officials as dire as every week - a stonewall pen denied for each team.

We’re not far off but we still aren’t quite there yet. I still fancy us to sort it and go up next season mind

 

2 interesting points which I agree with.

I’ll use Evatts own words which both confirm the first point and also highlight the reasons behind it. He said something along the lines of “they don’t have to try and force it as much as they did the 2nd half, they lost their faith in the process…” He also insinuated that they shouldn’t be influenced by the impatience of the crowd. He then went on to comment on how young they are and that “if they don’t win then at least we learn…”

And that highlights that these are very young lads in the main who are learning on the job at the moment - and doing a pretty good job most weeks. But they are going to come unstuck every now and again. So I don’t think we need to be too concerned.

The 2nd point provides a good summary, we’re not far off, and if we don’t do it this year then we could be in for a beltin season next year.

that’s the problem IE needs to solve now. I’d have absolutely no concerns with Sadlier being in behind Charles and JDB on Saturday 

I know its sometimes easier to impress when coming on as sub for 25 minutes, but I'm surprised Sadlier hasn't been accommodated to get a bit more game time.  Simply looks better and more consistent in that role than Dapo currently.  Maybe if he has a run of 2 or 3 games we'll see more of his shortcomings, who knows, but he looks quality every time I've seen him and his body language and attitude oozes positivity.

I know I'm probably in a very small minority but I don't think Bakayoko is any good.

That's the game I saw.  Their no 11 stood out both as a bit of a knob and a really dangerous player.  Stockton a decent player and yes credit to them, they defended well, just once in a while I'd love us to go somewhere that we are the inferior team, and give a backs to the wall performance something along those lines.

I agree. You can just tell he has a bit of class about him. Plus, very rarely loses the ball. Something that can’t be said of Dapo recently. More often than not a move breaks down cos of him at the moment

Can’t knock him for the goals he’s suddenly started to offer, but overall you’re not alone in that view. 

Also I hate to go against the grain but I thought Fossey was dreadful last night. Just wasn’t in the game at all, and little wonder that Aimson struggled for a pass because Fossey seemed to be forever drifting inside rather than providing that outlet on the touchline. There was tons of room in behind their left back too that was screaming out for quicker and earlier distribution from Trafford to put Fossey in a straight foot race, but he just somehow never seemed to be an option. 

Charles missed two good chances and seemed generally subdued.
Dapo just wasn't at the races and Bakayoko was Bakayoko.

We should have been 3 or 4 up, before we gifted them a goal. Haven't seen it back, but I thought Trafford might have done better with it, but a definite Johnston error. He made another shortly afterwards and then his head seemed to go.

Santos appeared to prefer playing the man rather than the ball and was fortunate not to concede a penalty, not flagged for by the lino who didn't flag for the pull on Baka. Santos also frustrates with his poor heading at attacking set plays. Aimson saw too much of the ball for his and my liking, but I like him. he has limitations, but seems tyo know what they are and applies a bit of no-nonsense when needed.

Morecambe were poor and did exactly what we all expected after nicking a goal. We just weren't good enough at breaking them down.

I wasnt there but going off everything Ive read the second half last night was just a repeat of the match at theirs.

We just cant handle shithouse in your face teams.

Dont know much about Plymouth but Im hoping they come to play football.

Many of them have been mishit or lucky to go in, if truth be told.
One straight at the keepr, a shinner, one where he virtually stumbled over it to score, but then produces a lovely deft header. I think he might have ability, but lacks application? He doesn't read the game vewry well and is often caught a yard short. A better reading of the game gets him another 4 or 5 goals already this season, like the one last night.
