Depends if he's any good at the acting side of pro-wrestling he's definitely got the showmanship and physical ability.

Theres more than a few real fighters tried their hand at pro-wrestling and failed badly. Floyd Mayweather and Ricky Hatton were both wooden as fuck.

Conversely Phil 'CM Punk' Brooks is one of the best pro-wrestlers going and was shite at MMA.

CM Punk had absolutely no business stepping into the octagon. I had no idea who he was before I watched it and I thought they had grabbed some no mark out of the crowd to fill a gap. 
UFC fighters shouldn’t  try boxing either. Boxers spend their entire career training for 12 round fights. McGregor was gassed by the 6th with Mayweather. Stick to your lanes lads.

He was pissed off with the WWE hierarchy and was at the height of his wrestling fame. Dana saw the chance to make some money on the back of his name. The massive gap between him leaving pro wrestling and his first UFC fight should have been a clue as to how bad he was doing. He was wayyyyy out of his depth.
