Great final away day . Sun shine and the Rattlers ran on time .

Up early 6.09 from Bolton. 

Ashburner St worse for wear ( only left the Bee Hive at 01.00hrs). The Shark , poised to tick another ground off ( done well over 92). Darwens finest and "arry" in tow .

Pinocheo's Dad +1 , Happy Bat, (retirement suits some folk), Woody and Mr Smith .

Smooth change overs at Crewe and Birmingham saw us arrive 9.50. Taxi to Spoons . Full English with black puds ( with English mustard) St George's Day !!!!!.

11.45 Mr Wood and Embankment taxi to Deya Brewery,  fantastic venue, brilliant beers .Plenty off here in attendance.  

Back into the centre ( those taxis made some cash off us ). Met up with Sputnik ( better half in tow at Old Restoration.( needs knocking down crap ale) . Onto the Kemble Brewery pub once again choca with W,ws posters. Great to finally meet Vera Lyn insisted on a pic with Ashburner St . Jeep holding court in one corner of the pub and Swedish Al in the rear with "our boys" ( his description not mine) . Hopefully he will return to the fold next season at some point .

Fantastic pub will definitely visit again.

Last game so no rush to the ground( 1 more for the road) , wandered there with Jeep. Arrived 15.16 , had to bloody knock on . Enjoyed the game , great to see faces young and very old  . Sorted a lift back to the station for Mr Smith so missed their goal.

Into the Midland  ,bit of banter with young barmaid noticed a guy checking on me " is that your boyfriend ?"

She replied " no its my bloody dad " 

Squeezed onto the platform for the 18.00., AHM in full attendance. Back to Brum , made the connection train .

Unlike - Jeep , Mr Smith ,Shark , Bat , Ashburner St .

Very unprofessional arriving on the platform as the doors shut !!!!

Back to Bolton,  nipped into the Achari ( best curry in Bolton) . Taxi to Howfen ( White Lion ) to watch Tyson swing that upper cut .

GOOD Night !!!!!!!

 

Roll on next season.

Got off in Bolton, howfen train had already gone, went to the York with casino for a beer, next train delayed so got on next train to Horwich parkway, only it didn’t stop, so got off and had more beer in Preston. Got back at11.15pm

Was flagging but needed food , had breakfast at 10am , nothing else to eat till Achari , needed something before the Fury fight.

Normally I would have gone straight home .
