The young lad turning it like a top and getting his first test wicket. A long time since we had a leggie. Without looking it up, probably 70 years or so.

Cheers, well done that young fella… we’ve got some team these days. 🏏

Ian Salisbury was no Shane Warne but he was a leg spinner

Robin hobbs, just before my time

Salisbury

Schofield, nearly

Parky, even

And rashid

I think im missing divers point

My point is that we haven’t had an international quality red ball test leg spinner in my lifetime.

Ah

Still think thats a bit unfair on rashid, even though his better stuff has been white ball, he did ok in tests

Be a big job to research, but as we have only had 1 leggie with over 100 wickets, AR did OK

Not defending him, but averages 44.66 in his last 6 innings….

Sure, but in large part helped but scoring a hundred on a pitch which produced the third highest run aggregate in Test match history.

I know until very recently his first class batting average was below thirty (even now it's only 30.5).

Ashes; Brook for Crawley, Bairstow back in at 5?

Is it too late for Harry Brook to get a knighthood in the honours list? He’s been nothing short of sensational. And before every jumps on the pitches being suited to the “batters” - Joe Root isn’t cashing in on these surfaces. Remarkable.

Going back to a debate from a few months ago, is Buttler worth a try as a Test opener? Have we any more spare series we can try him out before the Ashes, or are we sticking with Crawley?

2 tests in NZ (love to go) and a one off v Ireland. I think Buttler’s test days are passed, but who knows?
