Incredible really

From 21-3 we could conceivably score 500

It can't be often Neil Wagner goes for more than a 100 without taking a wicket

He went for over a hundred in the first test and got a standing ovation from the England fans when he went back to field😊

The rain stoppage saved him from that embarrassment again. There’s always tomorrow though😊

2nd innings last time plus this current innings, he's 30-0-211-2

Thought Brook would go on and get over 200 but still a great morning, Root with his scoop shots was very entertaining and Jimmy delivers yet gain after a positive declaration, we've got a great thing going now in red ball cricket, with the Ashes upcoming and players like Bairstow and Archer to come back too, it's looking good, of course this kind of positive cricket won't always work, but it's great viewing.

Only player there's really a question about atm is Crawley.

Crawley; might we see Stokes opening in the summer?

Whilst Crawley doesn't score all that many, Stokes has spoken previously about it and said that he bats the way they want him to and he's happy with him.

I think the days of constant changing at the top of the order are over with, at least whilst he is captain.

Sure, but were we to get battered in the first ashes test….

If we retain Foakes and bring back Bairstow, then we need to lose a batsman. Crawley would be the obvious option.

Fickle nature of fans unfortunately. Not sure one getting battered would be the fault of one batsman not performing neither.

No one else really making a clearly defined case for getting the gig, and staying there doesn't help the selectors.

We have to let stokes have his head, even if his own batting leaves a lot to be desired at times.

Indeed, that's the conundrum facing them, if they swap them as you say and it works then all is well. If it doesn't then the critics will still be out.

Just have to go with whatever the management team select as it seems to be working!

Always a difficult decision to force the follow-on. We discussed this at the end of the NZ innings. As I write this, NZ have a lead of 200 with 5 down. England wouldn’t have wanted to bat on the 5th day chasing a decent total.

Looking better now!

Messed around with root before. Leave him where he is.

if crawley is to be the one left out, somebody is getting 'messed around'

cant see any way bairstow isnt coming back in

suppose he could go back to keeping

Don’t want that; Foakes is a brilliant keeper, always play the best.

Stokes is good enough to open.
