Think it might affect safety certificate as if there was an emergency people would not have a clue.

In ESL people were just clapping announcements even though could not hear what was being said. 

Way they've done things around the ground this summer I reckon it'll be sorted for Sheff Wednesday at home, Tuesday might be too soon

Emergency PA will be on a different system so no worries on that front. Usually loud and clear in the Wilbraham End and was fine for the minute’s applause but was a struggle to hear the subs

What was the round of applause for couldnt hear anything at all towards away end in ESL.

This might sound stupid so why not use that then ? 
 

Usually fine in ESL, assume they announced crowd near end of game, but just noise. Only knew what the applause pre match was for because on picture on score board.

It will be controlled from within the control room so not really practical for just general announcements

Heard the crowd fairly clearly now that you mention it (including announcing how many Wycombe fans) but not the subs

Seriously PA has been shite for ages. I can't believe that in this day and age we have a bloke shouting the half time scores down a cardboard tube. That 'big screen' wants utiising more than showing adverts.

It wasn’t upto the job about 10 years ago when we hired the pitchside speakers for every game.

All clear & loud in the West stand 👍

yep, I was in East Lower and didn't have a clue who the chap was at half time on the pitch waving around the ground, could of been anyone?

I'm guessing ESL didn't hear the late announcement asking for a lost 7 year old lad (based in the ESL) to speak to a steward? Ouch.

Unless there is a separate emergency system(?), that issue reaaaally needs resolving, pronto.

I heard nowt from my perch. Only knew what the minutes applause was for by looking at the big screen.

Not that it matters much but music was absolutely dire yesterday

Was loud and clear in ESL on Tuesday night.  Maybe just a loose connection on Saturday or someone didn't switch it on
