Do elaborate or we can just put it down to more shit that you continually waffle.

That's better!

You're so much funnier when you are angry!

To be fair you're hardly a laugh a minute yourself.

Look, try using your own brain instead of the apparently defective electronic one you seem to be reliant upon.

Let me spell it out for you.

  1. Leave the ECHR.

  2. Do as Australia did and tow the boats back to the shore they departed from.

  3. In a very short time, the folk who are often investing their life savings with criminals will realise they are pissing away the family store for nought and will cease seeking to cross the channel.

  4. They will then stop making their way to Northern France and probably stay in the first 'safe' country they reach from whatever God forsaken hell hole they have left (if they are truly escaping wars/oppression etc. - which in many cases I believe to be absolute bollocks and are merely economic migrants). This would undoubtedly be an agreeable result for France too.

  5. The big bonus. An end to these 'boat people' perishing in the Channel. The antithesis of what you were stupidly implying that any one us would like to see.

This is the longest reply you will ever receive from me. It may well be one of the last.

Leaving the ECHR won't change much I don't believe if you bothered to read and understand what I was conjecturing in one of my earlier post today, on this thread.

We don't do gunboat diplomacy anymore and even if we wanted to restart doing so, we no longer have the boats to do it with.

I don't think many have family stores to piss away to get to here, From the little that I understand most of the 'illegals' are basically indentured slaves once they get here and remain so until they they've worked off all the debt they now find themselves in.

Well they may well be economic migrants but they still are fleeing from war and famine 'back home' and trying to find a better life for themselves and family elsewhere - wouldn't you in their place, I know I would.

Good to see your heart isn't entirely made of stone, no one wants to murder innocent people (well I guess that's too idealistic from me to claim these days with the Putin's, Netanyahu's and Hamases in the world now) but good on you that even you would not want the rubber boaters to be slaughtered trying to get to our green and pleasant land.

I commend your efforts to want to engage in lucid and articulated views from yourself, much better don't you think than continual childish sniping that you specialise in.

It's more fun when we play nice together don't you think?

I do.

It does sound simple....but the first point, about leaving the ECHR won't happen, even if Reform get in at the next GE, they'll find a reason why they cannot simply just leave the ECHR - it will of course be everybody else's fault.

As for point 2, it's been discussed to death by those who know more than you or I, that the Channel crossing being so short, is a problem in tracking the boats - by the time they do spot them, they're often already here. If the expanse of water was larger and wasn't' as busy as it currently is, then it'd be much easier to spot and intercept (apparently)

The only real way to stop them coming, is to make it wholly unattractive to anybody who does make the crossing - at the minute, there is clearly far too much incentive to make the crossing, we need to remove that incentive.

This this this with cherries on top. Why are so many officials not putting this into practice? It’s the only way.

They said that about us leaving the EU. Wouldn't be surprised if there's another referendum on the horizon...

I have no answers and that's why I don't want to be dragged into this, especially with those like you who seem to get your kicks by continual point scoring all the time.

My thoughts for what they are worth is to identify what draws the illegals to seek asylum in the UK rather than all the 'safe' countries they've already travelled through such as France, Spain, Italy etc, and reduce whatever is the inducement for them to continue on to our shores, to the level of the countries they've forgo, in order to make travelling on any more beneficial for them.

Although I highlight my first paragraph, note the second.

Now today, and think back to what I said in my 'second' paragraph above, Sweep posted something more or less identical to what I had...

Same thought posted by two different posters.

I posted it first a day earlier get's trolled by RA (a recurring theme with him) and with no mention of my thoughts to identify and remove to incentives for the asylum seekers to come here

Sweep writes more or less the same and get's a totally different response...

"This, this, this... "

Sounds almost that he's nearly at the point of coming...

Eugh.

Anyway all this simply to set up my next post below.

Don't be dragging me into you're little man-crush crisis with RW

Did you not read the link because it states the bloke is an Afghan national (ie a citizen of Afghanistan).

It also says he lives at Georgina Court which seems to be off St Helens Road.

Yeah but have you personally ever been affected by an Afghanistan national?

I don't think they are,

The article is basically a court report (I assume you haven't read it), where two teens 13/14 years of age at the time, contacted the bloke (must have known him (or something about him) previously, travelled on the train from Manchester and met up with the 27 year old Afghan National (asylum seeker perhaps, it isn't stated) who took them back to his place, plied them with drink, refused to let them go, then raped them.
