I liked the Queen, her coronation was 1952/53 but that was another time a very different era, it’s time to move on. What I find (BobyBrno too) is when you copy and paste something from AI (or at least the one that is on my laptop) part of what you paste up to this forum seems to be 'highlighted' in someway yellow - I have no idea why?

When I first returned to this forum, and wished to post something up from AI, I used to post up my question I asked of AI, then copy the bit from AI on to here, then even write a small warning that AI is not 100% accurate (I usually wrote something like 'beware AI not all there yet', or something similar).

However heeding the tide of outrage from the good folk of this forum about how much I typed (and seeing how frighteningly often statements of facts were made without any reference to their source on here) I reluctantly decided to go native as in. when in Rome, do what the Romans do.

So I started to reduce significantly (but not entirely) references to my sources which included AI.

It beggars belief (at least to me) that anyone (sorry this does include you) believes my posts to be basically AI generated.

They are not.

Surely the genteel humour I lovingly include into them and my occasional teasing of some of my more angrier detractors should indicate a human touch and not the totality of an AI trawl of information - would it not?

Anyway I've figured a way to remove the yellow AI highlighted text if it was causing any annoyance to anyone - I genuinely thought it was annoying my mate Boby (the self styled Sherlock Holmes of the site to my Mycroft) but it seems he was very much more of a Baldrick with his cunning plans, to my Blackadder.

You've got to laugh really - least I do.

Your reply to Mr. Sanchez included a whole paragraph from Google just slotted into your post as if you had written it. No reference to Google. The yellow highlight proved it. It happened to me on the Wordle thread. I stated it was Google. You’ve done it on most of your other posts. It’s obvious.

I don't copy and paste using AI,I am educated enough to write things for myself, it's almost as if you are showing off by how much 'you know' about a subject, if everyone used AI there would be no meaningful debates especially on a football forum.

Google isn't AI (well the COMPANY IS) but I'm using its SEARCH ENGINE, which ISN'T.

Google doesn't compose anything, it is simply searches for what you've asked of it and directs you to what it understands from its programming what you are looking for and ranks them in order for you.

NOBODY gives any reference to a Google search - simply because it is the middle man between someone (me) searching for something and the source article, fact or whatever resulting from the Google search.

The bits I put up for Mr Sanchez (to be honest I've don't recall what I said to him apart from sending my regards to his cat) would almost certainly be the prime source documents to which I would ALWAYS posted a link to UNTIL it was made clear to me that the majority didn't want to read such stuff...

I know a few things simply because I spent years learning about them. passing professional qualifications and spending a whole career doing them.

I'm not showing off, I'm simply sharing my years of experience with anyone who may be interested (and to be fair quite a few have)- there's plenty stuff I know nothing about and learn from others who do.

AI is at the end of the day a tool, a super computer if you will, but as far as I know it still can think for itself, it can only do what it is programmed to do BUT it does that incredibly fast - much faster than humans can.

Maybe one day AI teaches itself how to think for itself but until then it won't be spoiling anyone's chat on a football forum.

And it should not be your last post on this thread (or any other one come to that, your opinion is just as valid as mine or anyone else's.

(It is a good idea though to check any facts you before posting just to make sure they are right.).

I think we somehow started off on the wrong foot, hope we can now put that behind us and start afresh.
