  • Can not speak for @gonzo but coming back yesterday we ended up with one  of our seats double booked with a protester. We chatted most of the way back, I told him I  was not a supporter and he was fine

  • I just wish folk would stop producing bollocks information and spreading it. 3 kids have been murdered ffs and the first thing someone can think of is set up a fake twitter profile and post some

  • Anyone who thinks Starmer covered up for grooming gangs because he in some way thinks it’s ok, is off their fucking box. Hes a dull as shit, methodical legal cunt. Unfortunately, to get justice p

Jurors aren't allowed to research the defendants or the background to the case they're sitting. It could collapse the entire trial if they were caught doing so. Sounds like you'd like to see our entire Justice system torn down so you can watch people get executed by the state.

And who is stopping jurors doing that? Do you honestly think some don’t have a nosey? Surely you’re not that naive…..then again

Nobody is physically stopping them. Surely you don't think I was suggesting they have 24/7 guards?

The fear of being caught is a big enough deterrent, because the punishment is rather harsh. As I said, it sounds like you'd rather we have a free-for-all "trial by public opinion" system than the one we've currently got. Which is a perfectly legitimate opinion to hold - it just doesn't stand up to much scrutiny.

Aghhhhb the British Justice system. Here have a few more month walking the streets after telling people to go and cut throats.

No just a trial by jurors will be suffice. And yes I’d love for the death penalty to be brought back, we’ve  been here before, I’d rather see child murders killed for their actions. You would rather let them live. Each to their own.

To avoid the drama and politics involved in bringing it back, can we not just have some very dodgy security outside his cell. So he gets utterly terrorised daily and eventually dealt with.

And then his family claim compo for infringement of his human rights and then we set up a public inquiry.

Sometimes specimens don't work out and need to be culled... unfortunate but true

Yep. Do you think this guy who has just pleaded guilty, has DNA evidence against him and multiple witnesses seeing him hacking kids to death is innocent?

Not in the slightest. I'm sure we've had this exact conversation before fairly recently.

Yet you’re happy for him to live. Each to their own but I think it’s quite bizarre.

And as we agreed last time, you'd be happy for your own innocent children to be executed on false convictions, as long as guilty people were executed too.

We are not talking about my kids you strange case, we are on about this case. You want him to live, I and many other want him dead. Each to their own.

Things have changed since when we outlawed cap punishment... we now have a breakdown of respect and a knife crime epidemic where little toe rags think nowt of taking lives.

No need for a body of evidence or even a trail when the fucker has plainly done the deed with full knowledge of the fact society will just lock him up for a while... and as long he doesn't get songs onto Radio One bragging about it he'll get to live his life outside as a legendary figure amongst his scummy pals.

Zero tolerance, waste of a pair of lungs... and Mr Hislop should stick to satire on Dave

As I said, it doesn't stand up to scrutiny. You wet your pants and throw out all sorts of abuse when the real consequences are suggested. You may be happy to have your chldren grow up in a world where they could be executed even if they're innocent, but I'm not.

If you think gang violence will stop because of the death penalty then you are delusional.

If you think folk who intentionally kill another being would think twice because we reinstated the death penalty see above.

The many US states with such and also much harsher sentences too shows it just doesn't.

But if this fucker came to an unfortunate end I wouldn't shed a tear for sure.

It won't. Folk are on death row for decades in America and they aren't exactly the most thorough lot

Ah, so you don't want the Death Penalty back...

Let them live, let them spend every day in fear of what might happen. Let them dwell on the consequences of the actions, keep them locked up away, but don't stoop to their level.

Nope. Costs more to execute someone than bang them up for life.

Well it does in America at least.
