It’s whataboutery

And you hate that normally.

Just saying, like.

Why not? Why do people want to know how many asylum seekers are in their town?

'cos they're weird, and they want something to complain about.

I’m wondering why you’re indulging in whataboutery.

Something you are the first to leap on others for.

It’s ok to be inconsistent. For some.

Sometimes you have to invoke other issues to understand the reason people are concerned about another one. Do people want to know how many Asylum seeker are in their town because they're a drain on resources? If so, why shouldn't they also be told how many benefits claimants there are? Or is there another reason for them wanting to know how many Asylum seekers are in their town? It's a genuine question. I don't know why you're getting all defensive and uppity about it. If you don't know, just say you don't know, or ignore me.

Classic Cheese

At least we can now consign whataboutery to the WWays skip.

A shame, but we move on.

I think they do.

There's various reports about such things if you care to look.

You've actually also had debates on here the subject numerous times, usually playing the situation down.

The welfare state is a massive drain on the country, poverty is massive issue. Tipping thousands of migrants in on top of that can't be good can it.

We already have enough problems.

Deary me. Is that the best you've got? What's happened to you in the last few days? Well below your normal standard.

So they should release the number of benefit claimants in towns then. Why only the migrant figures?

They do.

A brief search says its quite a discussed topic in the news.

Exactly how many benefit claimants are there in Blackpool then? Have Sky News released a web page where you can enter the name of your town and get an exact figure?

Once again, I suspect you are missing the point.

There were numerous reports on the figures a few months ago.

Claimant figures rise on Fylde coast as Jobcentre releases latest data with more young people out of work https://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/claimant-figures-rise-on-fylde-coast-as-jobcentre-releases-latest-data-with-more-young-people-out-of-work-5045367

You said nobody is interested in such figures and only asylum figures but I've just provided about 30 recent articles about the figures.

Not quite an obsession love. You’ve made separate comments about me before, without us being in discussion. It’s perfectly normal on here 😁

You and Cheese love calling people liars. Two peas in a pod.

A proper reply. 👍 So benefit claimants in blackpool massively outnumber the Asylum seekers. Yet everyone is flapping about the latter, and don't seem to be arsed about the former. 🤔 Why isn't there a Sky News web page that allows you to search for benefit claimant figures?

I called Spider a liar yesterday because he said he'd DM me some proof of something, then didn't. I don't think I've called anyone else a liar. 🤷‍♂️

You'd have to ask news. Maybe because it's an absolutely humongous problem that's getting bigger by the day and has been front page of every paper and news outlet for weeks on end.

Im sure there's been similar reports on Sky News where they highlight the amount of claimants in each area if you care to look.

There were was one the other week where they ranked child poverty.

I notice these charts quite a lot as Blackpool is normally top of the league.

Hence my point. In a town with so much poverty why on earth would anyone think it ok to put growing numbers of migrants in to mix. Social service, NHS and property are already at breaking point.

All with the backdrop of a tourism economy trying to make money.

The country is already on its arse. Hotels and HMOs full of migrants isn't going to help the situation only to make it worse.

As for folk 'flapping' about benefit claimants. They do.

They just don't form protests outside houses on johnny fow full of pip claimants.

Remember when you downplayed all that too?

No, I don't remember that.

I said the welfare state is out of control and we went round in circles for 3 weeks which involved you asking me repeatedly if I'd reported benefit cheats to the police.

Standard :)

Why don't they form protests about benefit claimants, but they do form protests about migrants?

Because that's how populism works right?

People latch on to it. The problem snowballs out of control and it becomes an us vs them mentality.

Just like BLM or any other wave of country wide protest/movement.

It's front page news, it's the first thing anyone talks about.

At the base of it the problem is still there. The optics of it are terrible also.

I'm not protesting. I think if your going to cause aggro at an asylum centre you've got something wrong with you.

But it's major problem no matter how much it's hijacked by nobs or folk with Populist agendas.

Farage and rioters aren't causing the migration crisis. That's happening.

They just feed from it.

Probably because they were born here and are therefore perceived to be 'our problem' - as opposed to an 'imported problem' in the case of asylum seekers.

That would be my guess.

Prob Cause its the

Benefits Claimants

Protesting about

The Migrants

Bloody foreigners, coming over here taking our job...seeker allowances

So then, who was lying with the HMO valuation ?

Did we actually find out 🤔

All ive done is point out that your own high standards are slipping.

Whataboutery is something you deride and mock, yet here you are, doing just that.

Ive held a mirror up to you, and your fanny has gone all out of kilter.

Prickly cheese.
