  • Can not speak for @gonzo but coming back yesterday we ended up with one  of our seats double booked with a protester. We chatted most of the way back, I told him I  was not a supporter and he was fine

  • I just wish folk would stop producing bollocks information and spreading it. 3 kids have been murdered ffs and the first thing someone can think of is set up a fake twitter profile and post some

  • Anyone who thinks Starmer covered up for grooming gangs because he in some way thinks it’s ok, is off their fucking box. Hes a dull as shit, methodical legal cunt. Unfortunately, to get justice p

Glad you both agree that our Police force isn't working and needs funding properly. 12 years of being cut to the bone is bound to cripple any Public Service.

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. It wouldn’t matter if there’s an extra 50k coppers they will still stand there like melons for certain groups when tougher policing (which I said) would work much better.

You don’t vote for the person you vote for the party, even you know that. Which one of Boris’s lot wrote the police procedures, AO, ROEs etc.

The point remains - they've had 12 years. Who do you think should write those procedures and policies?

Seriously how the fuck have you come to this? The police do some great jobs everyday throughout the country no one comes on here and says “that’s because of Boris” it’s a weird obsession, cult like.

Because we've had 12 years of a Government you've lauded, yet you clearly think they've done a terrible job regarding Policing. So who do you think should write the procedures and policies for our Police?

The question was to you. Who writes them, it’s ok if you don’t know you can just say. If a copper is stood there like a melon looking at protestors, or being pushed  about by other protestors it’s fuck all to do with whoever is in charge of the country.

Anyway @Carlos who was the bloke who was stabbed and why did he deserve more? I’m guessing he’s a not right?

The issue with the last 12 years of Tory government is that they've allowed the ridiculous gesturing and non-crimes etc to pervade throughout policing.

As they have throughout the public sector, and civil service.

Also creeping into private industry.

A reflection of society as a whole.

Strange thing is, if they clamped down on it, similarly with the boats etc, then the usual suspects would be screaming the usual.

"...ist this and ...ist that".

Before the change of colour of government these sorts of problems were far less of an issue, though maybe the seeds had already been sown.

Perfect example(s).

Put as many officers out as you want, if they're busy "doing" this, then the nation's security is fucked.

The National Crime Agency, the College of Policing, the House of Lords, the Home Office, and multiple Commissioners/Constables in charge of forces around the country. Who do you think should be in charge of making our police force "tougher" on protestors?

So it’s not my lot. We got there, well done.

Punishment.

Deterence.

Rehabilitiation.

In which order should the priorities be ?

Certainly reading the above, no-one seems to be in agreement, and perhaps that is the problem ?

So the Government have nothing to do with it? Who do you think should be in charge of making our police force "tougher" on protestors?

They are tough on certain protestors, as you’re probably aware. Others not so, that probably comes down to certain forces and their respective head sheds. Do you think that Boris used to phone the police up and say go easy on these eco warriors? Anti vaxxers? Etc?

Governments legislate and police are supposed to operate according to those laws.

At the moment, there seems to be muddled thinking at best and damned right ignorance as to what the public expect and demand.

We've seen the results of it all with repeated failings with grooming gangs etc.

PCCs and chief constables set the tone- hopefully our new one will return GMP back to something like what they should be.

If it needs new legislation to remove the "wokeness" and fear from policing, and put some semblance of common sense back into it, then bring it on.

No, I don't think that. Are you ever going to answer a simple question?

And who's going to do that?

There’s obviously some confusion amongst the ranks. No way can police from certain forces act accordingly yet others just stand there doing nothing. Get 20 football fans to sit in a main rd near the ground holding a demo and see what happens likewise get one of your mates to grab a copper and say “you’re nicked”
