6 fingered derby

There is a bit of a small town to-do goin on 2moz in the shit kicker backwards part of our area tomorrow.

Shame really as both of these clubs have had glory times in the past but still feel that both these once proud clubs are still smaller than BWFC. Weird🧑‍🚒

Theres not much in it tbh.

Can't abide Blackburn, don't care for Burnley. Always support Burnley in this fixture and always PNE when they play Blackpool.

When Blackburn were in their post-Prem days and Burnley were the underdogs just up from league one, I would hope Burnley could bring them down a peg or 2.  Boot on other foot now so anything that delays Burnley's inevitable return to the Prem is OK by me.  Not the same since they made the away end at Turf Moor so small, at least when its at Ewood it will look like a derby with a big away end.

Is it still a bubble match

It was a nonsense when it was, ridiculous rules

Blackburn have a pretty active mob of youguns nowadays by all accounts. All hail from Mill Hill.

How times change...

Lets see if they turn up if we ever get to play them again, I very much doubt it.

You’d support any team against Blackpool!

Dingle derby reckon Burnley will toast their inbred cousins.

Can't stand Burnley but they are still 1 up on the bastards. Hopefully a couple of red cards and nasty injuries

Same.

Kompany not doing too shabby there. Thought it might have been a shitshow.

Hillbillies 3 Dingles 0. A goal for every other finger.

Was amused to see that one team had a Benson and the other had a Hedges.

Burnley a class above today. Ashley Barnes is a shithouse, I'd love a player like him

He’d be fantastic player to add to our bunch of Jessie’s.

Reminds me of Kevin davies

A limited Kevin Davies.

Thought for an hour both teams were light years ahead of us and how we play.

Enjoyed Blackburn getting battered though.

Starting to wonder who would make the step up at championship level.

John (don’t think he’ll be here)

Morley

Thomason

Johnstone maybe?

As someone who still thinks we will go up, I wonder what next season would be like.

Horrible. I'd rather we bided our time than go up there and get tanked every time we play Blackburn and PNE. Burnley currently looking good for the Prem.

There's obviously a fair chance that Wigan and Blackpool will be in League One. Early days though.

As things stand, tough.

Need a complete overhaul imo

Wigan very good last season in L1 now struggling in championship having not spent relying on loans & frees (not saying you can’t find a decent player for nowt like)

No chance regarding Thomason imo

sheehan possibly

Starting to think similar.

I do think you can find good frees but you have to be good at bringing players in. I’m not sure if we are or not as I have seen this squad be good and bad etc.

I had previously thought a few of these lads could mix it a league above but the latest dip in form is telling me otherwise.

I suspect Sharon is on the case and that isn’t my debate. It’s more how many players would come on the journey with us.

I think Thomason is the one that will go furthest. Right attitude/good passer of the ball. Lots to learn and all that but I think he will.

Would definitely do a job, but before today he'd scored 10 goals in 78 league games.  3 or 4 goals a season, its not really addressing our main problem (not that its going to happen anyway).

I think Thomasson is at his best when we are the dominant team with the possession, he can get his passing game going and get into a rhythm.  But assuming we'd be doing a lot of chasing around trying to win back possession next time we're in the championship, he's a bit bull in a china shop for me, rarely winning the ball cleanly and a booking waiting to happen.  Could be wrong, but I think he'd struggle massively with us a league up, he's finding it hard enough in league one with a lack of assists/shots etc.

Agree entirely. It's entirely down to the player and how much he wants it, but I could see someone taking a chance in him higher up. Bit like McAteer coming to us then Liverpool.

Morley, maybe. Time also on his side.

Sheehan should be at his peak now, but I don't think he has adequate defensive aspects to his game.
