  1. Past hour
  2. That's about it, we know what those three opponents are like, we know what they can do or not do. None of them should hold any terrors for us. But, we know what we're like too. Some wonderful talents, game changers all over, but capable of shooting ourselves in the foot at any moment. All the traditional thinking about two legged ties, home first away second etc might as well be thrown out the window. We're what we are, could lose first leg win second, the other way round or draw them both 3-3. It'll be a white knuckle ride.
  3. Our entire attacking strategy seems to be get the goal to the wingers to score screamers, with an infrequent often poor quality cross or through ball, shows the quality of Kenny and Dalby they've managed to score what they have. Compromising our defence for that doesn't seem worth it to me, start with a solid base atleast, that solid base starts with players playing in their natual positions. Wing backs as wing backs. We also need a proper DM in midfield, Sheehan and Rodriguez have done their best but neither can win the ball and recycle it. Rodriguez if he plays needs to play as a no10 not a psudo no8. 3421/ 532, whatever you call it, we need it, not this silly 4231 or 442. We havent got the players to play that.
  4. I don't know how fit he is but I'm hoping Simons can play a part in the play-offs Rr and Sheehan do really well together because they both bust a gut in the middle but it'll be very hard if not impossible to expect them to do that over three matches in a short space of time and when we have to take them ofc their replacements can't do it The option to have a No. 6 in the middle would be a big thing for us
  5. Didn't spend a day in the top two all season and finished 16 points off second in 5th. "Not quite" good enough.
  6. This is it We're our own worst enemy
  7. The story of our season - wrong / selfish decision making when in promising positions and meek bordering on rank defending has meant we’ve conspired against ourselves to make the story of our season considerably more difficult gone from an ideal position to possibly the worst. I don’t fear anyone but ourselves
  8. If we are 3 up from the 1st game,, YES.👍
  9. Said a couple of months back if we win the play offs with wing backs as full backs and (on one side at least) wingers who are zero help it'd be a miracle. That miracle might just still happen but any team better than the Red Lion can score through us at minute. We are wide open to the same types of goal every game, ones that are blindingly obvious watching on but ones we're incapable of heeding warnings of and preventing. Our play off hopes are 100% pinned on outscoring whoever we play, to do that we'll have to be a lot better in their box than we were today, decision making and execution were terrible. Should have had 6, could have conceded 6. Work to do before next weekend.
  10. If our players were as spineless as some of our fanbase we'd be relegated in January
  11. I dunno - not booking a train ticket yet and it only costs me £23 😁
  12. And short of full backs so sell one of our assets to a team now above us into the play-offs, genius!!
  13. We could be 4-0 up after 1st leg and still lose this. we are utter shite in big matches and we’ll shit ourselves away at Bradford. we shit ourselves at home against Barnsley and almost lost it so we’ve no chance here. what a disaster today has been
  14. Today was always going to be an attacking game with a late winner. We're still better than all the other teams in the playoffs. Stop being negative and look forward to a Saturday on the piss.
  15. We could go on for days about the defensive errors and missed chance, but the previous 46 matches now don't matter. Do we think we get past Bradford in 2 matches? I do.
  16. Watch the second goal again. Bonham gets caught underneath it but tutu makes no attempt to play the ball, he's too busy wrestling the defender. It basically hits him and goes in. Both to blame.
  17. It all very well these happy clappers saying its ok, we're in the play offs lets just see what happens??, imagine that was in the not so old days when finishing 3rd would get you promoted!! We go into the game just needing the win, any win, just a win. But then we remembered, we're BWFC if we can f**k it up we'll find a way. Enjoy yer bank holiday weekend.
  18. I take your point but the counter argument is that our wingers are our greatest strength and if we go with wing-backs we either lose or lessen that strength I'm not sure we have any great options
  19. Worst keeper since Crellin
  20. Wait til you see Stevenage goal (no goal) against Wigan 🫣🫣
  21. You're right we dont have full backs but we have wing backs. If he was going to play with a back 4 he should have signed some.
  22. Christ we concede some shite goals
  23. We don’t have any full backs to play so what do you expect SS to do. We’ve got what we’ve got and if we’d taken some of the late chances we had we’d have won and finished 3rd but we were up against arguably the strongest team in L1 today and even with a weak defence we could have won. Kenny was missing today and neither Ruben nor ACD were at their best so we can do better. I don’t see Bradford as as much of a hurdle as these guys today so I’ve still every confidence well at least make Wembley.
  24. Only Forino is decent......Awful defence and keeper
  25. Could / should have been out of sight well before their 3rd. Thought it was a good game, and a nice change not to feel too pissed off after a defeat.
  26. Playing a back 4 with no real full backs is crazy, never going to work.
