All Muslims are they? Every single one of them? You need to put down your copies of the Daily Mail and open your eyes to the real world!
  2. Please feel free to pass on this handy, cut and paste-able Bolton Wanderers match report to any sports journalists you might have the misfortune to bump into. "Simply cut and paste the following words in any particular order to save yourself the bother of actually turning up to watch the game in question. Aggresive - long-ball - hopeful - outmuscled - crowded out - packed midfield - icy cold Reebok Stadium - (insert name of oppostion here) tried to play play attractive attacking football but were - plucky - power play - foul - free kick - punted - blustery conditions - lucky - knock down - spitting - Nolan - effective but not exactly a joy to watch - play the percentages - Diouf - Davies - flick on - defensive mix up - deflected - scuffed - off-side - Allardyce - unfashionable - natives - drink driving charge - powerful - lack of depth - despite dominating the game for long periods of the time (insert name of opposition here) were unable - commited - stubborn - perfectly good goal - Lion of Vienna - Wimbledon - headed goal - sees Bolton climb ahead of Manchester United and Arsenal into third place and the possibility of Champions league football.
  3. My god! The woman's a miracle! Can she tell me what my chances of getting a ticket for Portugal are?
  4. Apparently Spurs have got their eye on that number 10. Mind you they've got their eye on everybody!
  5. Well Sue, probably more chance of them getting it than the people I told it to in my office!
  6. That one in the pink! Top show. Spent more time concentrating on her than on the match!
  7. Ha ha, yeah we were laughing at that one too! They've got Trinny and Suzanna in the studio next week. Also, is John Barnes the worlds worst presenter. He's gone downhill since his glory daysn of "after 90 minutes of sheer hell, you're gonna get thirsty"
  8. That's the one Traf! Cheers for that. Been trying to remember it for donkeys!
  9. You'd have probably all missed this being at the game. On Dioufs introduction the co-commentator proclaimed, "El Haj Diouf is getting a bit of a mixed reception from the crowd here" Bellend! Also we had to endure about a thousand water based jokes including... Lets hope it's Zenit who are SUNK here! Bolton are SAILING through their first introduction to European football! I wonder if WET WET WET are playing at the Reebok soon?
  10. Something about some Man Utd fan dying and St Peter spotting him with his scarf on (St Peter for the purposes of this joke is a city fan by the way). That's about all I can remember, anyone able to fill in the rest?
  11. Traf, you don't know what your missing! It's full of lovely people but they're not the brightest. I kid you not, there is a legend in Deal of a ghostly ship that passes the jetty at the same time on the same date every hundred years. It was due again last year and most of the town turned up to watch it but went home dissapointed when for some reason it failed to appear. Seriously! Also, when they have the carnival procession, they have to cover the carnival queens float in netting as she was hit by people throwing 2ps at her three years on the run. It's that kind of place!
  12. Yeah but we can't get Channel 5 unless we watch it on digital. Too close to the coast of France so they don't broadcast here to stop the froggies intercepting the signals. Means I can't watch Family Affairs either so It's doubly dissapointing as you can imagine. Also, never use a mobile phone on the beach in Deal (Nr Dover). You're network diverts to a French one and you get charged at an international rate! Outrageous! More facinating Kent facts tomorrow........
  13. Cheers for that! Nightmare living down here, hear about everything on a two day delay.
  14. Howdy. Does anyone know if the game is on TV on Thursday? Exiled in Canterbury and can't make it! Thanks chaps!
  15. I thought he'd made a career out of being the highest scoring Premiership player of all time and scoring over 30 goals for England. Thought the disallowed goal agianst Argentina was a bad decision at the time and still do now. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one........
  16. No evidently I'm not Alan Shearers mother. He didn't throw an elbow, you're seeing things! He caught him with his elbow whilst jumping for a header and went over to apologise for it straight after. You watch football, it happens in every game. To be honest, I've never seen this clash with Neil Lennon, but if it happened I'm dissappointed as he's always been a favourite of mine.
  17. I can't believe what I'm reading here. Shearer deserved it? Are you having a laugh? Looked to me like some sh*tty little lower division player trying to make a name for himself. Plus he was all mouth, offered Shearer out after the game while the cameras were on them. When they left the pitch he was directly behind Shearer, but when he saw him marching down the tunnel, he did a double take, bottled it, turned around and went back out onto the pitch to "applaud the fans". What a prize pr*ck. Shearer might play the game with referees and throw his weight around, but he takes it as well, in a similar way that Kevin Davies does (just ask Sami Hyppia's nose). One thing he isn't is a thug and a coward.
  18. Thats nothing, when I used to work at IDN in town I had a customer called Alan Twatt Potatoes!
  19. Verve (when they were still called Verve) at Crown and Cush along with Primal Scream and the Charlatans. I once did the sound for an all female band called Rock Bitch at the same venue who got down to some lesbian action live on stage. At the end of the gig they threw a con dom into the crowd and the bloke who caught it got oral backstage. They were bloody rubbish though! Oh and Senser, also at crown and cush!
  20. I'm sure there are some FC United fans who can't handle the fact that someone (Chelsea) have taken UTD on at their own game and won, bit I'm sure there are many more who are genuinely making a stand against the commercialisation of the game and for who the Glazer takeover was just about the final straw. I just find it interesting. 10 years ago, fans breaking away to form their own clubs would have been unthinkable but nowadays the whole structure of the game has changed to such an extent that their point of view seems to be shared by a large proportion of fans. Hopefully our club will never reach the stage where we're forced to make a similar decision.............
  21. I'm not sure how I feel about this. There aren't many examples of groups of individuals who have got the bottle to stand up and be counted on issues like this nowadays. Like it or not, the fans who broke away to form FC United were in love with their old club just as much as we are ours. They've taken a stand and taken on an international corporation, years of history and a Yankee billionairre. Give it 20 years and who knows? Imagine the 2 of them meeting in a cup competition! I know this is going to go down pretty shockingly on here but I think fair play to them, I hope it goes well.
  22. You could try Mark in the Football in the Community Dept if he's still there. Don't tell Geoff Lomax or he'll poach him for City!
  23. Am with Frank here, looked far better after JJ departed. Unlucky with booking, distributed ball in an entirely different way than the other players are used to , ie sideways! Nolan did superbly after he came on. I'll also take back everything I said about Fernandes, looked very lively, left footed player cutting in off the right wing looks a winner. Borgetti, 1 chance 1 goal, that'll do for me!
  24. If he's a popular lad he could be called heldinhighregardbyhi
  25. Heard on the radio this morning it's supposed to be called "London Preston". God knows why, perhaps the baby was conceived during a mammoth sex session somewhere between the two towns while she was on tour. In the style of Brooklyn?
