Think the FA are just changing this. What happens with kids on big pitches is a type of football that only happens becuase the pitch is big. If you get a corner it is a waste of time, especially if the corner is actually uphill to the penalty box given most pitches are shit. The kids can not reach the middle of the pitch so the corner goes nowhere, we played a team a couple of years ago (under 11s) and if they got a corner they jus kicked it out for a goal-kick, then as the keeper could nt clear the penalty area they had 4 or 5 lads lined on edge of penalty area and scored about 5 goals from this. on the home straight the rails now jink innwards which mean horse held up can go inside or outside the leaders whereas in the past they had to go round the outside, which is like being in lane 4or 5 in a 400 meters race with no staggered started.
