Borgetti is an out-an-out goal scorer - just look at his record in Mexico and for Mexico. Our problem under the current very successful 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 formation is that we can not accomodate an out-and-out goalscorer as the front striker as we need Davies as the target man. Unless we move to a 4-2-4 formation it is an utter waste of money and talent signing a ??5m+ out-and-out striker.

Big Sam knows that there will be loads of Bolton fans going without tickets. He's lived in Bolton for the last 35+ years and he knows what's going on. Showed the Marseille heading Totty boys at our 5-a-side match last night the T-Shirt design. Superb but as a few of them said, the wording on the back does not make sense: ...and the RAF from Bolton shot THEM down. Surely using the word THEM means the song ends after the first verse of '10 German Bombers' because they are all shot down. The song and T shirt should read: and the RAF from Bolton shot ONE down. Then the next verse of '9 German Bombers' etc etc makes sense! Fussy I know but best to be right on these things. Its like the 'PIN number' thread!!

Give Rueben credit for giving an answer that is honest and tells it as it is. BWFC probably couldn't give a definite position on tickets any earlier then they did, as they had to await info from O.M. As we know from Besiktas, our European opponents have been piss poor in being quick with the info for BWFC to act upon. The selection of the Everton game for priority has been critised by some on here but what else can the club do? They have a working memory of a fish and so could only think of using vouchers from the last few away games!! Surely the Besiktas vouchers would have at least rewarded the loyal UEFA fans first! With 2,800 tickets they had to pick a game that would still leave tickets over for others to apply for. I am surprised that all those WW posts that have no tickets were daft enough to wait for open sale. We have begged, borrowed and nearly stole Season Ticket numbers to make sure our application would be successful. I see that Widnes has used his Exec Box contacts again. Surely the likes of Wiggy could have done the same?!!

Mentioned in other threads on here that BWFC may be holding back the mystery 200 tickets (cage holds 3,000 we have sold 2,800 tickets) to sell to fans booked with TMG who have been unsuccessful getting a ticket. Rumour has it that you will be offered one of these tickets when you contact TMG to claim back your ??215.

What is the email structure at BWFC? Tried to send an email regarding the Marseille tickets and low attendance against Arsenal to 'daniel.reuben@bwfc.co.uk' (publicity man) but it was not delivered due to "The message was undeliverable because the recipient specified in the recipient postal address was not known at this address". The email to 'publicity@bwfc.co.uk' got through. Just wonder if BWFC have made it impossible for us supporters and customers to get an email to a name rather than a faceless department!

2 of us travelled with TMG to Guimaraes as we only booked at last minute and it was all that was left. Didn't get asked at any stage for proof of a match ticket.

Carling Cup Final cock up all over again! I wonder if they processed these ticket applications in reverse order too - deal with those that arrived first...last.
