Got a quote from a fitter in Abbey village of Internorm - an Austrian company that make triple. Beautiful product with a U rating of 0.62 (no idea what this means). £25k+ for a detached bungalow including doors and a feature French door and window. Was too expensive for us and even at current energy prices would have taken years to recover the additional cost.

I can see Sadlier and Aimson wanting regular football and moving on. If Toal is any use, he's defensive cover. Thomasson to go out on loan to Div 2 hopefully. M42 was built with refuge areas very 500m or so plus overhead gantries very km. Plus it was Dynamic Hard shoulder Running - they could revert back to having the hard shoulder with an Red X and the hard shoulder still has a permanent white line to separate it. All that followed were built with fewer refuge areas/farther apart and some e.g parts of M6 J20 south and M62 were built All Lane Running with no hard shoulder at all. Saved money by building fewer refuge areas and was quicker to do (which also saved money). Cameras and A Red X are supposed to protect stranded vehicles on these, but VMS signs and gantries are too far apart.

Could be mistaken, but think before it was an Argos used to be owned by that Whelan fella who broke his leg. Had one of his supermarkets there in the early 70s with a sport shop (which eventually became JJB) upstairs. Think it was a large charity shop for a spell post Argos at some point.

I like Darcy but he seems to have stopped improving this last 18 months, so a fresh start is best for him. Thomason on the other hand is still improving in his short professional career. Doubt he’ll be a first pick in midfield and he would have to improve immensely to play at Champ level, but IE obviously rates him and thinks he’ll get better.

I started going regularly in 69/70 and remember Mowbray as a defender who took no prisoners, but can't remember whether he was right or left footed. I think we had John Hulme playing in central defence as well. By 72/73 his last season, we had defenders like McAllister Jones & Allardyce coming through and I think we signed Tony Dunne in 73. Mowbray was always going to get squeezed out. RIP Henry.

They are the best of the RAF's fast jet pilots. Normally do it for 4 seasons (years). In their first year they do the less riskier stuff (it's all relative) in the displays. Then build up in their second year to stuff like flying at each other at 100 ft above the ground.

Watched them from Cocker Lodge both days. Excellent. Only 7 planes at shows this year but still 9 at flypasts. 2 pilots retired over the winter. They went out for clear weather training in Greece for 4 weeks in May but 1 pilot got sent home in disgrace for misbehaving. Too late too start training a replacement. The now spare 8th pilot and the CO step in for the 9 plane flypast e.g. Queen's Jubilee.

Whilst on the Gills forum to see what they thought of Sithole (shouldn't have been released), I notice a thread suggesting we are about to sign a Robbie McKenzie from them. He's a 23 yr old right back almost 6ft originally from Hull. Out of contract next week. They would be due a (small) training fee as he's not 24 until September.
