Season tickets 22/23
We need to know what the plan is for these home corner sections Surely if more segregation is required it should be reducing the away allocation in those corners & not discriminating against our own fans. I’ll be holding off renewing until we get some clarity.

Todays Games
Got invited to European game a few years ago by a Celtic fan I worked with they were playing Inter Milan (3-3) enjoyed the match & atmosphere but the most impressive memory was the 2k Inter fans & the noise they produced.

Morecambe (A)
It was more in jest tbh , if he doesn’t score many goals he might provide the physical challenge that’s required in some games , poor man’s KD so to speak might even bag from a corner!

Aye it’s definitely a vibe I get , the Ian Moores syndrome non scoring CF (one for the oldies)

Worst away day
In order of despair: 1. Tranmere: playoff final because we finished higher in the league & beat them home & away Playoff defeats are usually worse because there is no straw to clutch at. Comstive’s miss still haunts me 2. Stoke at Wembley no need to elaborate. 3. Chelsea , relegated trying to play them off the park when we should have been kicking them up in the air (they had a euro-final of some description the next match) 4. Watford playoff final , we really failed to turn up despite us having the better players. 5. Villa Wembley semi , Dean fckg Holdsworth. 6.Tranmere again league cup semi 2nd leg , dicked 0-3 in front of that shower of shite + Aldridge. One of the few games I have left early.

A View From The Other Side
Worked up there a few years ago , they are myopic but very loyal . The place itself is a bit like a city but with a village mentality. Just the Mags to despise, & to a lesser extent the smoggies. As has been said large catchment area , Durham being a main stronghold places like Bishop Auckland, Spennymoor , even Hartlepool where they bus them in from.

The Gillingham chairman Scally has stated that he expects to see ‘a couple in & a couple out ‘ by Monday. Lets hope Dempsey is one of them , joining us.

Shrewsbury.
My mate bought a new car , we went to Port Vale watching the whites (1972) We supped ten pints before the game in their then supporters club , day after he took the car back to the dealer & got his money / old banger back . Drinking & driving in those days was par for the course , he just had the thought that writing off a new car driving pissed wasn’t very bright , whereas an old banger? Unbelievable Brian.

Didn’t get on , Cremonese lost 2-1 away to Lecce fully deserved, but winner og in final minute. League one standard I reckon with a smattering of Championship level players wouldn’t want to mess with Luciano Lecce’s no.5.

Has been for some time , all these lads need a plan B just in case son in law was in Wanderers youth set up years ago , fortunately he completed his college studies so when he didn’t make the grade he had an alternative despite the disappointment.

Fair comment , just fantasising scoring a goal from a corner or set piece.

Matt Smith going to Salford on loan from Millwall , now he is a unit , how he would fare in an Evatt system I’m not sure .Is it me or does Bodvarson seem like the short straw? To be fair never seen Bodvarson play , but League 1 should be within Smith’s ability even if it’s just to nod a few corners in. According to wiki 1 goal per 4 apps roughly.

Serie B pretty good league watched quite a few games last season in lockdown on Betfair , not quite as good /physical as the Championship but better than League 1 as there are no route one cloggers in there. Crowds can be a bit sparse , but that goes for Serie A as well in many cases.
