Whoosh ….thread & a half two points 1) I can see where PH is coming from & the threat of totalitarian behaviour, people who boo the taking the knee are exercising their individual rights even if most of us think they are perverse. 2) From Rudy’s perspective it’s a more straightforward problem , why would fans boo something that is essentially a positive move against racism? Recent phenomenon such as COVID have made us all a bit knee-jerk . someone who decides not to take the vaccine is not necessarily an anti-Vaxer they just might feel it’s not for them. We are a hairs breadth away from saying ‘If your not with us your against us’ dangerous stuff.

As much as I loved Burnden it was falling to pieces , going back right to the sixties there was no ground development ( apart from the supporters club , latterly the ‘executive suite’) unlike other progressive clubs like Coventry , Leeds , Newcastle. Then again it was built on a rubbish tip , subsidence was always a problem .One close season a hole appeared in the Manny road stand & two stanchions were floating in mid-air.

Thought the penalty given against us was harsh & the third goal was a series of fortunate ricochets which wouldn’t happen ninety nine times out of a hundred. First goal conceded however was a bad one , free header & all that. Nonetheless a good point & plenty positives .Dapo’s goal was a great move & if he gets on that back post more he will bag plenty.

Improved massively when Delfonso was subbed , he has been disappointing to say the least . At least we now have an effective plan B. Babayako gives us the option of mixing it up a bit.We can now play a bit longer if we need to . All the new signings have improved our squad & I think Gordon did ok despite a difficult opening twenty minutes , I think he will improve only twenty two years old at the end of the day.
