Tomo
Was it Tomo who got sent off for a second booking against the pie munchers, a couple of years later, after he'd retired the ref admitted that he'd mis-read his notes and it was the Wigan number 8 who he'd booked already. He stood out a mile during his time at Bolton, a man amongst boys, don't think many bore him a grudge when he moved on to "better" things.

10 Years Ago Today
The away goals rule was changed after Ipswich missed out that season for the third time on the bounce (I think), always seemed that the powers that be were trying to help them any way they could, which given subsequent events seems to be very much the case.

10 Years Ago Today
Hard to believe indeed, it was a belting evening that one, finished up drinking whisky and red bull of all things on the way home. If my memory is correct (which isn't often) was that play off with the "We saw you cry on the telly" taunt after Ipswich fans skriked like babies having missed out on automatic?

Katie and Peter splitting up, I bet Harvey didn't see it coming!

Wigan V Bolton
Took the kids to their first away game today, they loved it, I think the noise from our end took them by suprise a bit, the general verdict was that they want to go to more away, it more fun than home games, "especially the old songs", which I presume is anything that isn't We Are The ................. Thought it was a decent game, we were poor 1st half and were the better 2nd. Heard a couple of radio reports on the way back, lazy tossers who'd written the dreary end of season script before a ball was kicked. Our support was pretty good too, apart from the booing at the end of the 1st half, good day all round, few beers now and watch it again on football first. Bolty, I've posted a bit earlier this time to avoid the lager induced gramatical problems, hope i'ts a bit better for you this time.

Megson Lovers
Apologies to Bolty for the spoling mistooks, I've had a bit of calming down juice, which took its' toll n the spelling. We were beaten by a better team today, move on, learn the lessons and win the next one.

I don't post often, but FWIW our midfield were shocking, again, one of the centre halfs was found wanting frequently. The full back on the right was poor and the atmosphere at the ground was non existant. I don'tl balme Megson for any of these points, although plentty do. These are the same pricks who shouted "Allardyce Out" very time the opostion scored. We are playing in a very competative (sub) division and have a great chance of playing in the same division next season. This will be assisted by folk shutting up fcuking moaning and getting behind our team, two more wins will make it safe so get behind the lads and the manager and make bwfc what it was and should be again.

Megson In The Mail
Same quote on SSN, the inference from the ginger one is that it was done behind his back, if that is the case then his position must be in some doubt. Of course there is always the possibility that he did know about it and is trying to save face. The handling of it by the club is typically piss poor though.

Eidur Gudjohnsen
Would be great, looking at number 15 on the attached list, I can't see us coming even close to competing with that!

Gartside Comments
Who is the mystery striker? Sarge?...........No, Rosemary, the telphone operator? No..........Henry, the frustrated Barca misfit...................Could be, Or maybe not, still youv'e got to have a dream, etc etc

50 % success rate then, not the sort of odds you'd want to put the mortgage on.

do his dru'nken ramblings on 5 live after the Villa game look now? LSL will be better than the portly one. We'll improve without FSA etc. He needs to get the next apointment spot on, and his track record aint good. Presumably Lee and McParland will need to be paid off, Knox could be in for a tidy sum for a moths work too. Phils vice-like grip on the purse strings may have to loosen a little.

Jewell?
A bloke I know knows Melchiot at Wigan and reckons that Jewell is a shoe in for the Bolton job, mind you, he has just been caught with all sorts (not licorice) stahed away http://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/search..._drugs_haul.php so he may just struggle to confirm it for a while.

A Little Something For Tomorrow
Would have been Liverpool for me too at one time, purely for the annoyance itcauses the mancs. But 4 years working in the capital of bin-dipping and spending the last two days watching red shirted tossers from the home counties flooding through Lime Street is too much, Meeelan for me

Where was the first cantilever stand at a football stadium built? First post, I'll leave myself to the mercy of the grammar police and get back to work now!
