  1. Still plenty of Wanderers in Culcheth. I grew up next door to Rogers brother who was also a decent player. Two of his lads still run the haulage business, now based in Newton.
  2. The Bowgie Inn at Crantock in Cornwall ereputed when that one went in. Took us a while to find a pub with it on,and a willing driver. Early kick off if I remember correctly. The man will be a Wanderers legend forever.
  3. Spot on with the support.we are between Warrington and Leigh and there have always been a lot of Wanderers, since Sky there are more glory hunters of all persuasions but what really pisses me off is the number of recent pie eaters I absolutely hate the cunts. Great following yesterday though, first time I've taken the kids over the border (not a euphemism ) they loved it! The club feeling is definitely coming back the match has been a chore (but not one to be shirked ) over the last few seasons but I'm loving it recently
  4. If you are interested in old football grounds there was a great book a few years back by Simon Ingliss called " Football Grounds of England and Wales " Nice to hear it called a ground rather than stadium too!

    Tents

It's shut, I think they still trade on line though.
  6. Being managed by Dick Advocaat?
  7. Alan Dicks, Fulham, seem to remember their fans calling for his sacking at Burnden with chants of "Dicks Out", which lead to a robust response, particularly from the Manny Road North!
  8. Definitive proof that you should never trust anything written by someone called Jeremy. We should brace ourselves for the press alternating between bigging the team up and slating them between now and next summer.
  9. What's red and sits in a tree? A Sanitary owl,

    Talksport

Talk sport, and particularly those two cunts is contrived (or should that be cuntrived) beyond belief, every day is the same scenario; Ginger Twat: "Well you daft Yorky stump I think this"; Essex Dwelling Yorkshire Deserter" Naaah then y' great ginger ponce I think t'other" Repeat to fade.......................
  11. Fair comment, it went over my head that one, in my defence I had just woken up having had a couple of celebratory shandies.
  12. Care to explain?
  13. But apart from that, just listening to his Sky interview, where he describes how some of the current dingle squad "got ME to tenth" speaks volumes; the bloke's a tosser, reasonably good at his job, but I've scraped better off the sole of my shoes. Not keen on him if I'm honest.
  14. I'm sure his accent is going more black country with every interview. Undoubtedly our best manager of recent times, but also a twat of the highest order. Left Notts County to come to us for a 10 year contract, which was subsequently enhanced part way through. He got to a point where he thought he was bigger than the club (not to mention "agent" Craig and the back-hander business, that has yet to go to court despite his protestations), pimped himself about for the job he felt he deserved. He was talking to City at the tine Shinawatra was taking over as well as the barcodes. He left, took the bulk of the back-room with, after promising not to. His reaction last season at home when they equalised in the last minute says it all, which made our winner all the sweeter. If he had been honest when he went I would bear no grudge whatsoever, however he wasn't, and has been a charmless, graceless turd ever since, with a huge chip on both shoulders towards the club that has paid his wages on three occasions ever since.
  15. Favvers Mr Ed more like
  16. Ten, just tipped up, even the kids think it's a shithole.
  17. Just passing Port Talbot, it makes Leigh look like paradise!
  18. Pissed on the centre circles at Meadow Lane and Prenton Park, followed up at Prenton Park by pissing in the home dug out (Aldridge would have been the manager then), remembered they had Wolves at home next, stopped mid flow, scampered over and finished in the away dug out.it's fair to say that a good bit of lubrication was involved on both occasions.
  19. Absolutely spot on, and the same decisions go to the same teams week after week.
  20. My point was that it's an easy story for papers to mention the link to a team just before we play them, typical lazy journo's. It wasn't an appraisal of an impending move to Catalonia.
  21. Barclelona linked earler this week too, is it pre nobbling of a player before a high profile friendly yet to be arranged? Or perhaps lazy paper talk re-linking him with teams who have previously shown an interest just before we play them?
  22. Just spotted I spelled apparently wrong, humble apolgies to the grammar police.
  23. Gutted for the lad, he comes over as being as genuine and enthusiastic about what he does, a big blow for the team, but not terminal, as some of the drama queens have suggested. Apperently some cartlidge damage was found during an op to correct something less serious, it's hardly the medical staff's fault, unless they are expected to routinely disect players to see if owt's up with them that they can't see. Let's hope for a quick recovery for the lad, although I'm sure amisserabletwat will be blaming Jussi for stabbing a voodoo doll or something equally ridiculous!
