Can someone explain to a dyed in the wool PAYE type how multi-millionaire owners of businesses can legally be allowed to fuck it up to such an extent they can't pay the tax or staff wages?? We have pretty much guaranteed income streams so surely the board/owner can have no excuses for not operating within these parameters. So while staff don't get paid and the tax payer doesn't get their share what is the actual cummopence for those responsible for the total mismanagement of a business? I am not intimating any illegality here either; just rank incompetence!!!

After Lee, Megson, Coyle & Freedman you forget what a proper manager should sound like!!! Had my reservations but NL is impressive..

This to me is where Freedman fails as a manager, how he speaks about the players, I am sure a psychologists would have a field day analysing with some of the stuff he comes out with, as it must be demotivating and demoralising for the players hearing snide comments and digs time after time. I know the players get paid loadsa of money so always have that gun against their head; however if we accept that BSA got more out of the collective through his approach then it is also feasible that another manager could get less than the sum of the parts through their 'management style', and that is where I think Freedman was at. The constant sniping at 'unamed' players and criticism of the squad must have not made it the greatest place to work I would imagine. And while the players are not entirely blameless I believe they do care & try hard to get results; so a new manager who can instill confidence and belief will get a lot more out of them than Freedman could manage.

You did; Destitute <-> deserving?? Why should you need to 'deserve' a local authority house if you choose to pay the rent; with or without benefits. Strangely you seem to equate standard LA housing with emergency housing, a battered wives refuge or a refugee camp!!, i.e. based on need not choice! I have a private property, my choice, but have no beef with those that do not wish to own a house or to be overcharged by private landlords, not for profit housing in my mind is a good thing, whoever chooses to live in it. Cheers, thought I was going mad for a while with some of the stuff posted on here!!

Why have you made the link between council houses and the unemployed??; many working class families have lived quite happily working all their lives and paying rent to the council and never having been on benefits?? Why is housing, in your mind, any different to any of the other state provided services?

Schooling, healthcare, pensions, or anything else the state provide are not removed because your income reaches a certain threshold, so why should his house??

Or was it merely using 'market forces' in London town to get his members the best deal?? Good on him..
