  1. Depends if we want the elusive creative midfielder - personally, unless he's got the skill of Okocha, I'm not sure where we are going to play him.
  2. That's according to Megson in the BN. If it's one more, do you think it will be the creative midfielder or a striker?
  3. How much experience did Faye have? None. Look, every single Watford fan I've spoken to (both of them) are gutted. He has been their best player during his time there. Also, a couple of QPR supporting mates have said that were fully expecting Shittu to be picked up by one of the bigger clubs at some stage. It's not meant to be the signing that makes us all go 'wooo-hoooo'. It's a signing that gives us solidity in one position and allows us to offload Meite, if that opportunity arises.
  4. Solid player - won't be in the first 11 but not bad backup
  5. You can mention Ricketts once or twice but I'm blowed if I can think of many more. All i was questioning was the idea that Allardyce was a tactical genius. He was many things as I've mentioned but tactically, he wasn't great.
  6. Don't you need to try harder to be a WUM?
  7. I think we have a stronger team now, For a start, it's miles younger. That may not count in a one-off but it's bound to make a difference over a season. BTW Where did this tactical genius Allardyce come from? Tactics were not his strong point. He got the team playing in a certain way which people found difficult to play against. But there was never, ever a plan B. And how many times have people complained about Allardyce's substitutions? Generally, he didn't know what to do if the 11 he sent out weren't working. Very rarely did an Allardyce sub make a difference.
  8. Rumour I've just heard. Anyone else heard anything?
  9. You should have said 'he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy' - that would have been better.
  10. Average means that 50% of footballers are better than him and 50% are worse. Given that the top 4 will have the majority of the best players, average might just do us... Note to everyone: please stop using average as an insult!!!!!! It just means you're statistically unaware
  11. Wouldn't he have to leave his bionic parts behind if he did go? That new set of fingers didn't come cheaply...
  12. Yeah, fantastic! Did I not mention the Premiership, FA Cup and League Cup too!!!
  13. We haven't had a really spectacular goal for a long time - Nolan's v Blackburn was superb, though. Don't mind who scores it. Taylor to launch one from the half way line, majestic powering header from Cahill, Elmander to run onto one and blast it past the goalkeeper. I want us to win Goal of the Season.....I haven't got over Okocha losing out to that ponce Henry the other year.
  14. West Brom have failed to land that Bougherra chap from Charlton - he's one to Rangers. Bet they come in with a bigger bid now!
  15. Ben Haim was a solid player but he did make some spectacular cock-ups. The one for me was the home game against Reading two years ago when we got tonked 3-1. For one of their goals, he made a mistake and the Reading player was past him. Did he try and get up? No, he pretended that he had been fouled allowing their player a nice clear run on goal. BUT he was great for us in the main and i was sorry to see him go. Cahill is better and O'Brien makes less cock ups.
  16. In a proper match could have picked up a couple of yellows too. Where's Richardson going to play now they have Malbranque - you can't play all three!
  17. Crap. Keane is like a kid in a sweetie shop. Has no idea how he'll play all these players together. Not getting left behind at all. Be realistic. How could we have pushed on? Where was the money going to coem from? Our present money is from the TV deal so I'd love to know where we'd have mgicked all this extra money from? To have competed would have cost the club ?50M each season because we have been competing with everyone bar the top four for the last six seasons.
  18. What was his name?
  19. Utter rubbish - you're just speculating to fit your conspiracy theory
  20. And how often did he change a game (esp in the last two seasons)? At least we now have a player who wants to play for us...

  23. Yeah - that's it! Big Sam couldn't work out what to do with him after comign back from the ANC the other year. The backroom boys said he was fit, Diouf refused to play. That was real text book handling by BSA!!! This has nothing to do with Megson but an awful lot to do with Dioufy
