August 7, 200817 yr Author did we not have about 50 midfielders on our books last season? Depends if we want the elusive creative midfielder - personally, unless he's got the skill of Okocha, I'm not sure where we are going to play him.
August 7, 200817 yr did we not have about 50 midfielders on our books last season? we did have quite a few but we lost Campo, Stelios, Andranik, Guthrie, Speed, Alonso, Braaten and Wilhelmsson so we now have Nolan, Muamba, McCann, Cohen, Taylor, JOB, Riga (altho he can play up front as well) and Riki G (altho he might be competing for left back. Read today that Harper will prob be going to Boro so maybe we are after someone else. Hopefully a more attacking mid/right winger as we are short.
August 7, 200817 yr James Harper / Seb Larsson i reckon. read also in the mirror (i know laugh all you want i don't care - we are after all just speculating) that Seb Larsson is set for "crunch talks" about his future. He wants to leave and his agent is trying to engineer a move away and they don't want him to go. We are rumoured to be after him so hopefully we can give them a good offer and they will be forced to let him go. If we got him and a striker on loan from somewhere, even if he only quite young then we'll have a well balanced squad

Helguson is our bench warmer right now and despite his inadequacies, I'd rather see that than the above three. Obadeyi maybe next season (or later this season if he finds some reserves form), but the other two just aren't Prem class.

August 7, 200817 yr I think there may be more than one new player arriving, but the way I interpret it Megson expects to wrap up another deal over the next few days. Sounds like talks must be at an advanced stage.

As far as i can see the BN have just added this to what Megson said after the Donny game and put 2 and 2 together.
