I think it's only you. More than happy to wait until the actual window OPENS!!!
  2. No chance of them imploding. No matter how much anyone wills it, they'll be stronger next season than this one.
  3. Always comes across as an eloquent lad. I think any rumours of dressing room strife can be put to bed. The current squad looks more together as a team than any I've seen for a long time. Was it just a coincidence that Nobby was missing from the Dubai trip?
  4. I just think that Megson has had a problem knowing what to do with Nolan. Do you drop him, move him around or what? Other players who are new to the club might wonder who the player was who contributed little to games yet bollocked them for making mistakes. His overall contribution has been poor for a while so if someone comes along and offers ?4M or so, it was a deal worth making. I think it will give the club a new lease of life and that's no disrespect to Kev. I wish him well and hope he manages to find his form at the Toon.
  5. We're on for a top half finish anyway. Look at our fixtures compared to all the other teams and we have a much better run in. We've strengthened in areas we needed to strngthen in and have a done better in the window than most of the bottom half clubs. For me the key, though I hate to say it, is selling Nolan. I feel that just allows us better balance in the team. But we have decent coverage in defence now, decent coverage in midfield, decent coverage up front.
  6. Not that bothered really. Done OK in the window so far. Anything today is a bonus!
  7. Nothing for me matches the feeling you get when you're on the way to the ground. It doesn't matter to me, win, lose or draw. It's supporting the team that doesn't change. I get as excited now going to a game as I did when I was 8. The only thing that spoils it for me are some of the uneducated grunts that sit near me.
  8. But you (sorry not you but Yatesy - edit) talked about HIS magical list implying he was somehow involved
  9. In fact, only the Ricketts one happened while he was in charge!
  10. He wasn't Chairman for most of those transfers!
  11. Harry Rednapp said some interesting things when he heard the vitriol being spilled out against Roy McFarland and Colin Todd when West Ham beat us back in the old Burnden days. He said he'd never heard a bunch of supporters turn on a manager like that and that it was one of the most disgusting things he had ever heard. Guess somethings don't change
  12. Totally support Megson in this.
  13. Well, you have to see Megson's comments on Big Sam to see the dignity of the guy. Maybe Sam needs to learn a few things about modesty.
  14. ? Rubbish! The man's who's turning this club around, getting a new generation of young players in, guiding the team through a rough old period of transition and you want rid???? Why would anyone want to manage Bolton with the fans we've got!
  15. Not really - it's much harder to spot faces etc in a standing crowd than in a sitting crowd. But I bet that all seater stadia have better safety than ones with terracing.
  16. Do you have anyone you care about? Thought not because if you'd seen them nearly die as a direct result of the sort of idiots who used to run around on the terraces then you'd think differently and be a bit more polite to people. Tosser
  17. Megson every time... Because he's our manager and didn't walk away.
  18. I'm totally against it and I'm neither. I've seen at first hand what happens on terraces and it nearly cost the life of one of my family. I would give up watching football if terracing was brought back. There is no doubt that all seater stadia have helped to stop hooliganism inside the ground. Look at Italy and Spain - still have a huge problem and have standing areas (and even in the sitting areas, a lot of the seats are pretty rubbish). When you've seen children nearly crushed to death, it gives you a different perspective. Given the history of our club, I think the welfaer and the safety of our fans comes first. I have yet to see a 'safe standing' area that wouldn't stop being safe if the mindset of the people wished it tio do so. But, hey, lets not think about that...
  19. Bolton manager Gary Megson has confirmed the club have opened talks with Sporting Lisbon about the possibility of signing defensive midfielder Miguel Veloso. Apparently, this is on the SSN website
  20. Anyone who ever thought Allardyce was inspiring in an interview must have had their TV turned off. Megson comes across as someone who's thought about what he's going to say. He doesn't whinge, he just says it as it is. There is now ay that Allardyce will ever be Bolton manager again. Not ever. His ego wouldn't allow it.
  21. Megson is an OK manager. I think Leicester was a bit beneath him to be honest.
  22. There is no report anywhere of Wigan making a bid except on SSN on the TV. Now, I'm guessing some southern plonker can't tell the two towns apart!
  23. Check out Bolton banter - some Saudi kid has hacked into it
