Randall is so weak. He's had a couple of starts but brings nowt. Scandalous last bit of transfer business from evatt n Markham. Proper 3rd tier fayre this. Not good.

I would love to know what SS really thinks about the squad he has inherited. He has to be tactful and can't be too critical of individuals, given that he will want to offload quite a lot in the summer. I thinks he and IE are sort of mates too, so that's delicate. The poor and expensive investments have been named earlier, Markham has had a hand in causing a shit show. With new recruitment people in, I expect many changes next season. But with the new manager bounce, seemingly over, I'm sure SS honest opinions are well guarded.

Stockport County (H)
Fair enough. Maybe a bit harsh on GT. He gives everything and has slightly refined his clumsiness in the tackle. Yes, he stood out today, but to what end? Hard to tell if SS sees him in his plans for next year, but he is certainly testing his versatility in different roles. The best if a poor bunch, sounds a bit more supportive than tallest dwarf.

Sorry, can't agree with that. Sheehan was poor but Randall was not our best player?

Stockport County (H)
They wanted him last year, I seem to recall. He had a strop in training and was dropped, we were determined to get him at a big cost. Stuck with him now, what a waste of money.

As said above, big home crowd, local Darby. None performance, seen that before. A lot of evattesque sideways and backwards. The best team won, baxter made 3 excellent saves. Matete losing the ball, turning back on himself, for their goal, seen that before. Randall, had his chance, should have been hooked 15 mins earlier. Provides nothing going forward, plays safe by passing sideways/backwards. Seems to have no strength or strengths to his game Subs and attacking intent, too little, too late. The ref, awfully weak and terrible knowledge of the game. Stopped the game 3 times, with us in possession, to book a Stockport player. Bottled the pen v collins and the 2nd yellow. We are crying out for a powerful, good in the air striker! GT, tallest dwarf today. A whiff of the honeymoon period being over and a stark reminder that these are all evatts players

A bit of an elephant in the room subject though. She's a successful business woman who can deal with such questions. Is she to be protected from a whiff of negative feedback?

Birmingham City (H)
Slightly off topic of the brum game: Has Sharon been interviewed about the departing of IE and the appointment of SS. If so, I've missed it. A genuine question would be, do you think you left it too late and why SS, and how excited are you at the marked improvement since his appointment..... All a bit quiet, as if she knows the deliberation has actually cost us dearly this season?

Fantastic aggression, confidence and tactics. Anyone remember Santos? I wonder if Sharon is regretting several months if blind loyalty to IE? We have our Bolton back!

Difficult comparison here; We have no champs ready players, they have about 8. The perceived weaknesses of any individuals are magnified. Tough one to take and regain confidence.....

Wrecsam (I Ffwrdd)
Some excellent points there Eddie; Morley has improved during his time on loan. Not a speed merchant but can regularly be seen chasing back. SS seems to like him. Regarding GT, I personally think he peaked last season, he has massive passion and is very verbal on the pitch. But his clumsiness in the tackle is a costly and well documented facet. Going forward, I think barring injuries to others, he will be a bit part player and moved on in the summer and the much awated bastard with be brought in.

Blackburn got £18m for Wharton and 11 for szmodics. That helps the struggle I guess?

Wrecsam (I Ffwrdd)
An established champ team get good money for staying in the league, relative to div 1 money. Of course there are exeptions and Ipswich are just that.
-
Wrecsam (I Ffwrdd)
The casm between, div 1 and championship is massive and will continue to grow exponentially. The only exceptions to this will be hugh spending, which may be even a stretch Birmingham and Wrexham. Watch top half champ football and they are superior in every element of the game. Likewise the jump from champs to Premier league. Promotion and consolidation is a very tough gig. But hopefully, we'll cross that bridge.....

What's gone is gone. But it does frustrate and even annoys me to think of some of the games that we've bottled or just not performed in this year under IE. He way outstayed his welcome and did considerable damage to this season. Totally a mute point, I know but what could have been with Steven from game 1?

Transfer Gossip
We are in an awkward position regarding transfers. Reletive to L1, we have good money but way behind bham and Wrexham. Our recent history in the market has been hit and miss. A tough sell to quality players who realise we are play offs at best this year. Younger prospects from div 2 or europe, almost has beens and injury prone players, seems to be our market place. A challenge for ss?..... I agree that we could move on Jones, williams and Santos ( he's not champs level at all)

Reading (A)
Solid in defence. Should have won the game. Strange one re transfers obvs because of the timing. I wonder if ss has anyone lined up to get goals who is fit. Cruel to actually see etete on the pitch, obviously not fit. I hope ss doesn't have to go with what we've got, fingers crossed. Again, as good as Vic gets, but miles off a target man.
-
Northampton Town (H)
Using a target man, Vic has the monopoly. That was as good as Vic gets, to push on in that area, we need a better target man. He's well paid to be a pro footballer but it is cringingly embarrassing to see his limitations exposed.

Northampton Town (H)
So pleased for JD, what a great week and memories for him. GJ and WF may not be great with the ball but god they love to defend. Get toal back and we have some real hard men in defence. I could do without Santos? The lad Murphy impressed me, athletic and good in the air, headed it more in 20 mins that our number 9 has done in 2 games Vic got more involved but just got exposed as clueless going forward, no positional sense for a striker and can't head the ball. That said, we missed him when he went off because any target man occupies defenders. Hopefully we get an upgrade in the window. Sublime touches and great goal from collins and superb pass from Randall. Crowd was strangely quiet but so many positives to build on for the new boss. Jones needs replacing too if possible.

I know utube can be misleading but he can do things that our number 9 could only dream of...
