expect the worst so owt else is a bonus. Winning tonight would give us a bit of hope, but personally I see better organised teams than ours showing more will and fight for the cause when it's needed. Ergo, I'm predicting a 1-1 draw but defeat at Sunderland to confirm what most of us already know. Still, Charlton's always a beltin' away

Bolton 1 Swansea 1
Sean, if that comment is aimed at the post I put up earlier discussing the lack of tactical nous on the training ground, I can assure you you couldn't be wider of the mark if you tried mate

before or after they won the MUST WIN game?

Bolton 1 Swansea 1
I can't reveal my source ok, as it came from within the confines of a press room. But a nameless Bolton player - let us say he is a senior pro - told a former teammate that the players are amazed at the lack of tactics deployed by OC and his staff on the training ground. And where BSA used to do drills a hundred times til the players got the message particularly at defensive and offensive set plays, OC sets out 8 a side games pleading to be picked, with little else. Ergo... no Plan A let alone Plan B and it's showing with performances/results. A media doyen according to the BWFC player but effectively fucking clueless leaving most of the lads scratching their heads and looking for inspiration. Dressing room lost spells disaster. You can work the rest out I'm sure?

And Tonight, I Am Qpr V Swansea
The team is choc-full of Championship level footballers. The side is led by a nice man who sadly is out of his depth. The tactics are shite. The atmosphere at home games simply doesn't exist. Others have fight and spirit - we have no bottle at all. The rose tinted spectacles brigade can go on all they want about the moaners/shit fans, but here's a straight forward fact - 10 home defeats out of 16 will be our undoing (25% win success). Not good enough and the next 6 results will only underline that fact. I will happily bare my chocolate tea towel holder in the Club Shop window throughout the summer if we escape. Keep the Faith all you want - very commendable indeed. If the players had as much belief as some we'd probably be alreet. I'm in their corner... a yellow-bellied, white flag-waving pessimistic twat. So shoot me then.

Your Most Memorable Game......
Three (attended) for good reasons: Blackburn (a) 78 W 1-0 to go up Wolves (h) 95 W 2-0 to reach play off final Munchen (a) '07 D 2-2 and three (attended) for not so good: Everton (h) 77 L 0-1 to miss out on LCF appearance Aldershot (h) 87 D 2-2 to drop into Div 4 Wolves (h) 77 L 0-1 to miss out on promotion or Ipswich (a) L 3-5 to get cheated out of a Wembley final but there's dozens really....

Wolves 2 Bolton 3
Slade tribute club 0 TOAOW 1 Tighter than a nun's crutch but Klasnic to pop up with a late winner. Wiggin could get out and the chicken botherers aren't safe yet so arses to twitch right through to the death. Home games crucial now as this and Villa (poss Stoke depending on circumstances) look like the only plausible away points

Man Utd Fanzine Cover
I'd take a chill pill Jim. That was more funny than distasteful (although the timing would have been better now than then). A mate of mine refused to eat United biscuits (you'd have to be of a certain age to remember them) and would open his sandwich box every day and throw it out the train window. They're not all scum. And fanzines are an irreverent look at things anyway. Every club has it's share of tossbags (yes, even us) But not right in my book to tar 'em all with the same brush. Bit like that Dingle twat acting up after the game Saturday. One puss filled boil on an otherwise flawless skin

Phil Gartside - He'll Do For Me.
and fuck me - how gaunt does he look in that (quality) shot? Taken it's toll on a man who very obviously loves this club as much as we do.

Would We Win These Matches?
Hypothetical granted, but how many points would we expect to gain from playing these matches again based on current form: Stoke City H Liverpool H Arsenal H Wolves H QPR A Wigan Ath A Dingles A Everton A Possibly beat Stoke and Wolves with a point at QPR - I make that 13 points worse off. Therefore, it could be worse

potentially Micky - although I don't get to many Wanderers games these days covering Shrewsbury mostly. This was my first game since the semi-final. Not a lot had changed. But inside of 15 minutes, I thought Wigan would win comfortably and they did. If I could see it (and every other hack in there could see it not to mention 21000 Bolton supporters), then how come our manager couldn't? We didn't so much have a purple patch - more a lilac one for about 10 minutes over the 90. The points went where they deserved it pains me to say. I think the questions that tend to get asked by the Sundays are usually along the lines of: "so Owen, how disappointed are you to get gubbed by the bottom side in the division in another 6 pointer?" It tends not to get any meatier than that more often than not and yesterday most had a can't be aresed attitude - including me

I was in the press suite after the game. Martinez did about 15 minutes and was very eloquent. OC did about 3 answered only one question and plainly had watched a completely different game to the rest of us. By the way - the question did not surround the missing players or indeed any formation (or lack of)

Fa Cup 5Th Round Draw
You are all assuming Crawley to be an easy tie. Steve Evans has assembled a good side down there - they are no mugs as they showed at the KC. I saw Shrewsbury down there earlier this season. If Wanderers draw them away, advise you get down early - a great social club down there. Shit ground mind

Managers You Wouldn't Want To Fight With
A well-known hard bastard is McCarthy at Wolves. Ditto Pulis. Not so well known is the director of football at Hereford and former Shrewsbury boss Gary Peters. Nasty with a capital 'N'

Wanderers 3 Liverpool 1
A shoe-in away. And the day that their resident gyppo finally syncs and justifies his 100 million pound spend. Let's face it, unless we're playing Macc at home these days, the outcome is as guaranteed as that fat fucker Humpty Dumpty falling off his wall

Do You Have A Second Team? Confession Time.
Bolton born and bred with more season tickets than your family between 'em cocker. I go to Shrewsbury now because I always wanted the chance to work within a football club environment and they gave me my chance. I gave up my seat in North Stand Lower to do that. T'was the year we qualified for Europe the first time - secured during a 1-1 draw at Pompey (I was there). So not jumped off the side of a sinking ship - far from it, the Whites were in their pomp. Hope that's cleared it up for you and as for the other comedian thinking Shrews will ever make it to the ahem.... "best league in football" that surely qualifies as a contender for piss take question of the year? More chance of OC getting us up to 17th come May. Good luck to everyone at the Reebok - I'd LOVE to be eating my words. Alas....

Do You Have A Second Team? Confession Time.
Shrewsbury Town. I do all their match reports for the official club website. So, whilst at Valley Parade tomorrow (we're at Bradford), more than half an ear cocked up towards the Reebok. Not been since we were humiliated at Wembley, and to be fair, not a lot has happened since to make me miss the place. I DETEST the Premier League and am far happier watching L2 football. No pissing Prima Donna's down here. Just an honest bunch of lads who sweat inside their jerseys every week. Something this lot should be doing as an absolute minimum for those still arsed to get up there every week! I'm an avid reader of this forum and my heart bleeds for all the fans - we are the ones who suffer. Do you honestly think Cahill will fgive a flying fuck for us when he goes down Sarf next week? Exactly. We'll feel the pain a whole lot longer and we're not picking up 50k a week to numb that feeling. TWATS. Sorry for going off topic.

Tranfers
you're right BL2, and quarter mil for Neil McNab - both left for nowt if my memory serves me well so we ended up hoisting a cwop on th'embankment instead to save us
