I'm presuming you watched events at the time, you're old enough to have. Gates were opened on police orders, that was revealed some time ago, though not as soon as it should. But why do you think they were? Because they just felt like it? Must have been a trigger and that is thousands outside and the fear of an incident outside. You can criticise policing etc all you want, and their mistakes warrant that. But there's a reason it all started and those individuals must also accept some responsibility. It's not just an issue with Liverpool fans though, just terrible that on this day it went so badly wrong

Here We Go - Itk Transfer Gossip

I think, like Clough he would do well in a good footballing team. When he was playing well before his move our football was the best under Lennon. I reckon he's an intelligent player not an physical type. -
Bowyer and Lambert are dour. Cotterill less so. Yes it's results that count, but an appointment that enthuses people may be the difference between a number of season ticket sales and the loss of cash upfront. It may be wise to invest up front to get some back. Going for a cheap option is a concern

Think so.Gold line is just an agent coming to your door, isn't it?

Very true. Wouldn't disagree with that. Probably fair to say that the ones that were sadly killed were in relatively early. Those tanked up and causing pressure outside were always going to be at the back of the pens inside

I don't believe that the cost of a St is too bad; that being said this is a fair point. Sometimes we do become a little blind to disconnect between normal salaries and those of footballers. It's a short career I suppose and you can't blame the players if they can get it, but it is still a lot of money.

Saw a piece on SSN just a few weeks ago. It was from the place where England were going to train for the Euros. Contractors were laying out the soil to create a pitch. Kinell around four months to the tournament not even structured let alone seeded. They must have some special weather over there, might be worth migrating!

Does anyone bite their Jaffa cakes or put them in whole?

This is utter bollocks. It's getting better tomorrow, a predominantly sunny day, with temperatures just into double figures. I've known warmer Februaries

Anyone contemplating going to Cuba should do so soon. Their economic isolation has led to its current character. Now the Americans are softening as we are, investment is sure to follow and no doubt all the old cars will be sold to collectors and the character will change as modernisation follows

Sure my old fella came to that Southampton game. He was a city fan but but still went bonkers when we equalised

Might have to get back in. Didn't bother with St last year, but it's likely to be a team largely comprised of home grown talent and it might just be interesting.

What happens with regard to weather nobbled games? Any refund? I know they try to get a game in but five overs a side isn't that attractive, and if this weather carries on ....

It's fucking me up somewhat. Some folk's grass is doing well, others is still in bed. Some lawns are still sopping. I think you said a while ago that we'd have a good summer, I'm still in agreement, but it had better hurry up. Currently having a tasty thunder storm and the hailstones have hurried my veggy plants. Twats.

Is the north atlantic drift actually slowing as scientists said it might? It's too cold. Stove going on again instead of open windows letting in Spring warmth.

Thankfully, not been in the situation they find themselves in, so difficult to comment. Suppose if you'd lost a partner, then all those potential earnings have been lost, together with all subsequent difficulties. Only the people know their true motives, leave it up to them.

Bet you never thought you'd write that this season

Hmmmm, so if you act the cunt and something goes wrong, it's the authorities that are to blame me because your mates were also acting the cunt and they should be prepared for it? As spider and cheese have said, yes huge mistakes have been made, but that doesn't absolve some fans for their part in all this. Anyway, I wholly agree busters are a far superior point of discussion.

Seeded an area well over a month ago, just a few now sprouting. Like a desert elsewhere. Can we ha e some warmth please.

No doubt, and the latter part is indeed a disgrace. But your first sentence mentions 'that particular situation'. Ultimately the police didn't wholly make it, perhaps a whole range of factors were responsible. I remember vividly footage at the time showing a policeman imploring fans to move back as a crush was forming. Fans contributed to this. No malice undoubtedly but nevertheless they were there. Remember years ago being at Blackpool on boxing day. Thousands of us, still trying to get in at half time. Kettled in a narrow back Street. It was bloody uncomfortable as it was inside the ground. Yes poor setup etc., but also made worse by a number of dick heads getting pissed off and shoving etc. Thankfully nothing serious happened. Unfortunately it did at Hillsborough. RIP the 96.

Oldham's statement means naff all. Just setting the compo stall out.
