  1. If folk want to go, they'll go. Club isn't going to pump out updates hourly, maybe daily at best. First update seemed perfectly reasonable, particularly with a working week to go.
  2. Take no notice of him. Nowt better to do than negativity wumming.
  3. Absolutely. If they were going slowly, then a different sort of message may be in order. This just adds to the fervour.
  4. He is everything, with interest, that he criticised any and every opponent for.
  5. Are you saying you are exposed to Islamaphobia regularly, or even occasionally? I'm somewhat confused, as I'm not personally subjected to either, and wouldn't expect to be not being Jewish or Muslim. If you're referring to witnessing stuff onto other people, then you wouldn't see much towards Jews as they're so small in number. Of you're seeing stuff in the media, then there is without any shred of doubt far more Antisemitism, given the ratios of Muslims and Jews. Putting that on one side, there is only one that I perceive as a threat to me.
  6. Finished his season for sure in the celebration! 😁
  7. He had been injured not long before this game. I don't know if it was a new injury, or a flare up, but either way, he could well have been crocked the very next time he took to the pitch. You may as well say we shouldn't have played Toal in the semi, as we'll need him for the final which is a bigger game. As you say; ifs, buts and maybes there may be, however SS can't plan games around the prospect of someone getting injured or we would have ended up with a team full of kids on the last day.
  8. Why would I be? Right to protest etc.
  9. Except it doesn't always work that way. Spent a lot more than 50% and still didn't get top 2. Likewise twice recently.
  10. At the other end, China build multistorey skyscrapers in 5 days. Bit longer for bigger ones. Wouldn't trust those buildings in fairness, but where there is a will... Anyway, back to the point, Wembley is amways going to be the location. At least for the foreseeable.
  11. Just for accuracy, those Muslims that were killed had already killed many Christians as they swept through territories to capture them and make them Islamic. Crusades were aimed at recapturing territory. As ever, history goes back a very long way, and it's easy to pick a starting point that then can be undermined in a repetitive tit for tat approach. All that dressing up isn't for me, but then again neither is religious face covering, and open hatred and racism directed to anyone who doesn't conform.
  12. Aye. Let the incumbents shoot themselves in the foot. I don't suppose they could have gone too deeply, and openly, about policy, for fear of upsetting those standing for a constituency, but you would have expected a greater level of concensus on whatever policies they were going to legislate for.
  13. Small town club? It's the same size as bolton population wise (give or take).
  14. It's the idea that because he hasn't been "big" beforehand that it is a poor appointment. All managers have to earn their stripes, they will make mistakes, but the best ones mature, learn and improve. The previous "big" appointments haven't worked, so what is the best appointment for them? Another punt on a big name, who may last a year or two, or try a fella that is already doing well?
  15. He has his own golden helicopter pad remember. Doesn't need anything else.
  16. Not a cat in Hell's chance that that would be enacted. True or not, it won't happen.
  17. A means of raising some more dosh for Gonzo's brother? Pound a guess for tickets sold. Few quid for the nearest guess, rest to the fund?
  18. Ever drawn a cock and balls in the dirt? Done a few patios/block paved drives for folk, and it is indeed therapeutic. After around 8 hours though, it gets a bit much, with your neck locked for a couple of days after. 😀
  19. He seems to have acquired additional timber.
  20. I've been watching a few of these YouTuber's videos today. Every Tom, Dick and Harry on there seems to have descended upon Valley Parade. How the hell do they manage to get tickets in the home end so easily?
  21. Where there are the fewest racist/incitement type comments. If there is another rendition of KSIAW at Wembley though..
  22. Just seen that, and for me, it's the right decision. Since taking over, he has revitalised the club, and is second in the table only to city from that point onwards. They were 11 points behind villa, but have taken 33 points- 3 more than Arsenal. He has thoroughly deserved a chance, and has shown results to be more than a flash in the pan. Put yourself into a similar scenario here: Nolan comes in at Christmas, on a temporary contract, and performs equally successfully. There would be outcry if he didn't get a longer contract, and rightly so. Amorim had a decent record before going there, and was crap. It's back to the Allardici comment.
  23. Bit like watching Arsenal..
