We need to talk about Sam Dalby
He always said Taylor was signed as a left back. As above! ๐

You do agree really! ๐ You're just still in the heady glow of Wembley success.

Your last three are all loans. Gale played many games, and although week defensively, scored and created a decent number of goals. A young player in his first season who perhaps wouldn't have been expecting to play every game. Taylor I think was expecting to start- SS comments previously hint that he was going to be the first choice left back. The manager went on to admit that Conway got the gig initially, and that it was Taylor's job to work and get himself picked. Seems he didn't. Simons played a lot initially, then lost some form- again though a first proper full season for a young player. EE may have expected more starts, but he kept at it, did have an injury or two, and has still contributed. That's all your examples covered. The new lad won't be coming just to warm the bench, as none of your list have (except Taylor, who didn't get that far). He may well have been catching the eye of other clubs in Scotland and here too, which suggests we have done well and made a move early.

In which case he should look at himself and ask why he didn't work harder, and be better beforehand. I take your point, and I've no doubt that that would have been part of the equation, i.e. wanting a new contract, somewhere. I do think we have targets lined up though, either through the ranks, or elsewhere. The offer to "old man" Christie raised an eye brow, but I wonder if a coaching role may be in the offing too.

Silly idea wasn't it. Yet it continues to be the rule. Maybe one lot has seen the light, whereas the other crazy set hasn't and is just doubling down. I've just listened to an engineer, who explained that modern systems ( some heat pumps) can work both ways, and are very efficient. They are used for cooling in warm weather, when solar output is at its highest, and sometimes when more electricity is being produced than is required, so actually installing such systems is a win-win, and is environmentally beneficial. Instead folk will continue to use less efficient portable units that aren't as good. Again, just like wjth EVs, this is another example of environment window dressing from this current government. Appear to give with one hand, and take with another. Witless and grossly incompetent.

No doubt they play a part in projecting British military excellence, and furthering sales agreements. Lots of nations have display teams, and we shouldn't degrade ours.

I know about the collapse of the company. Bigger companies than that are also warning about delays to the government's defense spending plans. Like most things, this lot are worse than many. Nevertheless, the wasteful, cumbersome approach of the MOD is legendary, and not unique to this government. They can't be expected to carry the can entirely on this one.

Hmm. There is a vacancy not too far from us at the moment. His success with Bournemouth, the way they play etc will have earned many an admirer.

As others have suggested, maybe it's no coincidence that he got better towards the end of the season. Shop window and all that. Worked out well for both parties of course, and good look to him, but I'm hardly gutted. As for Sheehan, for me, this idea that he is better suited to the championship is for the birds. A save said on plenty of occasions, if that was the case, then plenty of offers would have been made before. He may well do OK, but arrival of this young lad from Scotland suggests all midfielders we have will have to scrap for their places. I don't see Watson as coming in from the top league up north just to warm a seat.

The Nameโs Bond
Doubt they see it as bad news. Promotion to the championship was an aim from the beginning, and they have achieved it. That money will be gladly paid, and I'm sure the investment was appreciated then and now.

As he eludes to, injuries have robbed him of his best. Always a type of player you appreciate- he played with a broken back! All the best.

Unfortunately, no government here is prepared just to ignore rulings. Moreover, it is enshrined into our own human rights act. As such, too many lawyers and judges make their ridiculous rulings as you say. Therefore, to remove vexatious, and possibly unlawful legal pursuits, it is has to be removed from our own. Which in turn means altering our own as required afterwards. I really don't understand why folk are so upset by the idea of not being involved in it anymore, given nations can just swerve it if it suits. Simply create a much better, fairer act that works in the interests of the country. Future governments can amend such legislation in the future as the need arises. Instead of shrugging shoulders and hiding behind it, instead of dealing with issues of the day.

The new plane has, and is, being investigated. Like many governnent procurement systems, it's slow and cumbersome. It is important to get it right though, as they aren't just display aircraft, but training aircraft for future RAF pilots.

This. He has had some issues before, which were discussed at the time he came. Maybe with the birth of his child, he will be happier, settled and more focused. Reckon the baby has settled into a sleeping pattern too, as he doesn't seem knackered! ๐ Gale shouldn't be written off neither. Another youngster, come on from another land, finding his way. Lots to improve in terms of his defensive work, but he is quick, causes defenders problems and does score a few. Ultimately it's down to the coaches now to work on them, improve them and see if they can move up to the next level.- Stockport County - Play Off Final - 24th May
Definitely a YouTube addict at the moment!- Football Ventures
Does the club host as many events as it used to, to generate extra income? I don't know, but it just feels like we donโt. So far, FV have managed to bring in extra investment, and done it very well, but in doing so, we're no where near the sustainable model Sharon spoke about after the takeover. Presumably, we will be able to increase season ticket prices a little next time, if we stay up, and crowds will be a bit bigger. Nevertheless, 4 fewer home games loses some gate receipts from none sts. How do we increase revenue (profit actually) to allow us to be sustainable, particularly if we need to increase wages etc? Going to have to produce some players and sell for decent money. Or continue to look for outside investment, and hope that whoever supercedes FV is as diligent and responsible.- Politics
