  1. I get why they did it 'cos they are through with 4 points, and there was 2 moments when they got in behind when Pickford came out of his area and clattered into a Ghana player and when Eze lost it. I highly doubt we will see Spence and Gordon again, it didn't work one bit and Madueke was very poor today, Saka and Rashford vs Panama and get some more confidence going into round of 32 which may be Uzbekistan/DR Congo
  2. Switching Madueke to the left for 10 mins was just wasting not having Rashford on for longer, pathetic performance, hopefully that's the only sitter Kane misses going forward Unless we royally mess up or Ghana outscore us by 2 we should still get first espeically vs Panama, but that was woeful and a bit scary at times when they got in behind, despite them being quite negative for most of it, a mood killer for sure.
  3. not sure, if Jordan beat Algeria and somehow beat Argentina they will top the group due to 6 points each but having the h2h, so seeing as no other player as scored yet other than Messi, they may play him, which they shouldn't need tbh.
  4. was hoping that freekick went in for back to back, 5 goals in 2 with Jordan next.
  5. He could have had 4 this half and I feel like he's not been at his best with his shooting and passing, never will we see anyone as good.
  6. Bad injury for Canada, Leg broke. 2nd red for Qatar
  7. Not been perfect, but 4 goals and tons of chances 2nd half, could easily be 8
  8. should keeper save that? it's a class strike from Mbappe like.
  9. agreed with the itv studio, they need to do UHD though, bbc do it for games. but still looks good on my LGTV tbh, loads of shots by England, seemed to every minute or so after subs came on, Eze played some clever passes when he came on, Gordon with an assist and goal maybe puts him in for Croatia? not sure.
  10. if England had Portugal's midfield and France's attack i'll be well confident but I still think we can do well given who we do have and with Kane upfront we can hurt any team, I'm leaning towards France to win and Olise player of tournament, Spain obviously will push them but Yamal as missed the last month or so with Barca though they can ease him in given their group tbh. As for our 11, 3 places up for debate I think, Rashford or Gordon, Bellingham or Rogers and Stones or Konsa to partner Guehi, I'd go with Rashford, Bellingham and Konsa myself, but wouldn't mind any of these, it'd be very brave to leave Bellingham out, perhaps we'll learn more tonight v Costa Rica and against Panama you could defo push Bellingham further back if we need something out the game if you wanna go more attacking. As for the rest, Argentina of course can still win it, Messi came on earlier sets up a chance with a beauty of a control and pass and scores a pen, Nico Paz is an amazing talent, a potential quarter final vs Portugal, one last Messi v Ronaldo match, be quite fitting. Japan and Norway to do well form the underdogs, Netherlands to flop.
  11. Until we make new signings my mind feels like given our current squad it'd be bottom half, not saying relegated 'cos a lot of teams survive the jump up the following season, but given we ended up very far behind the top 2 and that was with a lot of late goals too to get points, I think we need to bring in a lot of quality and hopefully our star loans can return if possible. I know we've had a lot of draws that should have been wins and a lot of performances that you'd think would beat a lot of championship sides on the day, but a theme of our season was never truly being able to put teams to bed and for like 90% of the games they were very close until we pulled out our rescue acts (quite fitting our last goal was a 90+er) clubs in a good headspace right now, but it can change quickly, not allowing myself to think about the prem as that might take several years given how long it's taken us to get back to the Champ, but that must be the aim in the long run given the object of football is to win games and thus promotion comes if those objectives are achieved. Gonna be an interesting transfer window this.
  12. just realised no more efl trophy 😭
  13. vs Oxford 5 shots 0 on target vs Stockport 18 shots 9 on target
  14. Even though I thought Stockport were better 1st half we still had moments, including a class run from Tutu, we blew them away 2nd half, our subs so so so good, Bonham with a couple move saves too like the 2nd leg v Bradford, alround briliant! Wish that Cogley red card came earlier just for nerves wise lol, never cut your hair Cissoko!
  15. DALBY ! WANDERERS! PROMOTION!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Madueke as played a good part for England filling in for Saka, Elliot Anderson as been class for Forest and England and will get a huge move in the summer, surely you've heard of him? he's first choice with Rice, vital player we've not had before in recent tournaments.
  17. There's quality everywhere in the team, I'd take MGW or Wharton instead of Henderson, couldn't he go as part of the backroom staff or just a moral role? Trent over Spence and Palmer despite form is capable of a moment of brilliance, he's a quality player. I get the The Toney pick, but it's not one I'd have chose We have good options on the bench without Palmer, Foden etc, I wonder if Rashford v Gordon will see rotation in that position the most, too early for Rio yet but fancy that position to be his in future tournaments. I think that along with the 10 position is the only really debatable starting area, but you'd be brave to leave Bellingham out
  18. If Villa win and finish 5th, 6th get CL Villa 3 points above and -4 GD behind on Liverpool Man City v Villa Liverpool v Brentford --- Bournemouth 6th have +3 points over 7th Brighton and a -5 GD Brighton v Man Utd Forest v Bournemouth
  19. Another cracker.
  20. Great goal and well done on leaving 4 players up when defending a corner, sick of teams with everyone back thesedays.
  21. Karma if they miss out on something by 4 points next season and of course now they'll lose potential millions and better players, was cheating really worth that? a good deterrent and totally unfair for their own fans
  22. filth
  23. What a goal from Semenyo.
  24. His defensive work was absolutely top tier, but his passing down the wing was poor in a few moments 2nd half, was just before and after he received treatment, felt Burstow was guilty of some poor passes as was Erahahon, but little nit picks don't matter given the overall effort.
  25. SS talking about mistakes he made in the build up to our 4-0 win over his Plymouth side, it's hard to imagine us being as worse as our 2-0 loss to Oxford without a single shot on target, big 10 days and then the main event vs a team who'll want to put right their loss at Wembley recently.
