We didnt play that well but still had the better of the chances imo. Clean sheet and defence looking half decent which i cant remember last time i thought that! Madine missed another sitter which is a concern. A good team would have still dug out a 1-0 there so we arent quite there yet but i can see some progress.

We could play Nolan up top imo. He has always been a pretty clinical finisher and has the experience to play that role.

Its frustrating at the moment as we are close but i think they key thing is our defence is improving. Most successful teams have a solid ish foundation to start with, weve had nothing like for a long time. I believe we will start scoring eventually and we have been a bit unlucky to be fair. Surprised to see so many saying we nearly nicked it. I feel like Derby nicked a point off us after that performance! We have always had a large percentage of moaning cunts even when we were doing well. This season i think we are in a similar boat to a lot of teams. If we can keep our best team on the pitch for most of the season i think we will go well. Its when we get too many injuries at once when we are fucked. The first couple of games could be huge, if we play well and get some points it will give the players and fans the belief that we are actually capable. We just need to get some confidence and momentum going a bit quicker than christmas for a change.
