  1. (regarding the New York Giants kicker who is a Celtic fan from Glasgow...) Strachan:- Aye he gets paid a fortune to kick a ball over the bar, we've a few here do that too.
  2. 1 - the Win vs Preston at Burnden, can't remember the year, but we had to win to go up, they had to win to stay up. 2 - Reading play-off, the transition from pure despair to pure joy 3 - Preston play-off, best day out I've had with football
  3. I don't agree Cassy. the plan can stay the same, and we have to try our best to keep players - if the players believe the club is moving forward, they'll stay for regular football and good money. Nolan could've left several times a couple of years back, but stayed cus we were moving forward. Obviously, for example, if Muamba is a huge success and has a great two years, and gets offered a return to Arsenal or a move to Liverpool - he'll go. But we'll make money and it gets reinvested in the team, the plan stays the same. United's main plan was Ronaldo - he'll go, they'll reinvest and the plan is still the same.
  4. He was employed to keep us up... he did his job. His next task is to improve on that with a new team, we've rebooted. Success for me this year is to be comfortable mid-table and a decent cup run. The year after, improve again, look to win a cup or push for UEFA again. I'm pleased with the fact he's looking to build a younger side that can stay together for a few years and be added to, rather than Allardyce's "it'll do for now" signings. Bolton fans are only happy when there's something to moan about, so no matter what he does he'll never be onside with the majority.
  5. I forget which comedian it was, but "Birmingham must've got a bulk deal on concrete and thought 'let's use the f*ckin lot'"
  6. Anyone got a full list yet??
  7. I'll be there on Sunday against Leicestershire
  8. Personally I think it's refreshing to see a band who actually evolve their craft and see growth in music. Most bands are one-dimensional (Oasis eg) and turn out pretty much the same thing time and time again. Coldplay have clearly grown as writers and musicians from the simplistic indie 'Parachutes' to the wonderfully produced "X&Y" and the new offering is even better, the production, songwriting and musicianship is superb. I don't particularly care for Chris Martin as a personality (perhaps oxymoronic), but as a band Coldplay are, for me, the best in the world - not my favourite - but the best. Because they don't sing about drugs, alcohol and f*cking and they didn't come from Manchester or the working class, people don't like them cus it isn't cool to do so
  9. May I add - early phonics... when they were good.
  10. Arite folks, my new band is playing at Jabez Clegg in Manchester on July 17th (Thurs). The venue is on Portsmouth Street, just off Oxford Road near the Academy/Student Union buildings. It's ?5 with a flyer - email me at redgreenuk@hotmail.com and I'll send one over. As a rough guide, we're along the lines of Stereophonics/Oasis/Manics with a hint of the Foos. www.myspace.com/redgreenuk
  11. "Viva La Vida or Death and all his Friends" - Coldplay's new one. Awesome album, truly fantastic

  17. Beat me to it, it's on 5th fret on the chicago dvd and thats the version i learned, easier to sing it the step down at 3rd though, but the guitar doesn't sound as good.
  18. Legend, his live in chicago dvd is top notch, Hallelujah (his version) is the most awe-inspiring piece of music I've heard. I usually play a bit of it as a soundcheck, I'd never gig it though. RIP
  19. Holland. The right-back for my team is from Amsterdam and is having free-beer nights for all their games
  20. FIFA have backed it however it would be illegal under EU law, so it'll never come into the English leagues or anywhere else in Europe where 'too many foreigners' is a 'problem'
  21. doesn't matter who's better - if Al Habsi's ear's been bent by his agent, it's all irrelevant. Getting Jussi signed up is a good move.
  22. Last i heard there was talk of Al-Habsi buyin out the last year on his deal to go and play abroad, weren't Bayern Munich sniffin round him?? It would appear he's off, hence offering Jussi a new deal and chasin a new keeper
  23. Agreed a new deal yesterday VVVITK Double FACT
  24. Any lower league players you think could be worth a punt for BWFC?? Jermaine Beckford (Leeds) Tom Soares (Palace)
