I spend quite a bit of time in Southend with work and it's a bit of a dive when it comes to pubs. Leigh on Sea is supposed to be a great place for boozing and it's only 3 miles in a taxi to the ground. There are 3 or 4 pubs on the seafront that look half decent.
I recently read an article on Freemasonry and I was surprised that this is still a thing in 2017.
I'm still non the wiser as to what Freemasonry actually entails. It strikes me as a secret cult for weirdos, but each to their own and all that.
Is my assumption correct or am I just ignorant? Any WW's care to shine any light on this...
Moments like the winning goal yesterday are why we go to watch football. Absolutely superb.
We took a Canadian along yesterday and against Shrewsbury. He's now a converted BWFC fan (I may have told him that the atmosphere is like that at every match...)
Absolute scenes in the ESL. Makes you realise that we are capable of making a racket and making it intimidating for away teams. You can even tell from Parky's post match interview that even he was surprised by the noise.
I'm not getting carried away, but I can't remember the last time I enjoyed watching a Wanderers game that much.
Even a few of the southern softies are talking about us this morning instead of the usual Arsenal/Chelsea bore off.
Let's get a + 50,000 attendance away game.
Newcastle or Arsenal would do nicely. In reality we'll end up with a Championship team at home and we'll get beat.

Looks like they're bringing a smaller turnout this time around because we have a crap ground with no transport links.

We ended up there after following the sun around. Just got back in from this evening, managed the last hour and the capitulation.
Gutted, thought the bank holiday weekend was going to start with a bit of cricket in the sun on a Friday afternoon but looks like we'll do well to last longer than 11.30am tomorrow
That's the school holidays for you.
They were pissed up and it's likely that most of our lot were either driving or in a rush to get to Bristol. Three fans singing 'our support is fucking shit' to over 700 Bolton fans on a Tuesday evening on the other side of the country... yeah ok lads.
Stuck in traffic out of Bristol and diverted off the M4 on to A-roads most of the way back to London. 5 hours sleep. Don't care, we won!
Highlight was Garrp shouting at three of our lot for singing 'what do we think of Wigan?'
Gaucho, you must have loadsaa money!
Cote is ace, and they always have a reasonably priced set menu.
There is a Big Easy in both locations, it's a crab/lobster/steak/ribs shack. They have live music on most nights http://bigeasy.co.uk/#home always a good feed and decent evening out
Waterloo tap is good, but it's not as close to the station as Euston/Piccadilly. It's closer to the Southbank.
If the weather is like it is today the riverside pubs in Kingston are a great shout
