  1. I gave up booze last night....hic!
  2. But Mounts according to some on here we need to self flagellate on a daily basis and those muslims slaughtered by their fellow brethren are done so because its in their nature! When they the perpetrators cross our borders they are hard done by refugees!
  3. Chagrin. "Annoyance or distress at having failed or been humiliated." And that is you sir. When we on the right make a point you cannot refute, you either deflect or change the direction of the topic. You get annoyed and come out with some idiotic leftist crap. I answered Casino with a straightforward argument which you could not refute. But because your mind was filled with ire at that point, like most leftists you go off at a tangent or attack or besmirch the contributor!
  4. blow you cunt!
  5. No, I didn't miss the point, much to your chagrin.
  6. Probably because its happened here in the West, near home and amongst us. Perhaps because there is no four way civil war in Germany?
  7. 2-2 for me.
  8. Girl on a train. 8.5/10. Great plot.
  9. Honestly, it promoted better mental arithmetic. A bit like those folk down the bookies who can hardly read but could tells you what a 15/4 return would give you on a winner you backed with a £1.40 stake within a few seconds.
  10. Twas easy. I was ten when decimalisation came about. 12 pennies to a shilling (5p) . 20 shillings to a £1.00 and 21 shillings to a guinea. Ten bob (50p) came in notes. A crown was 5 shillings (now 25p) and was a massive silver coin. Then there were half crowns (12.5p) also silver. After that there was sixpence coin (2.5p) Silver and a threepenny bit (1.25p) which was bronze like. An old penny (copper) was therefore worth around 0.41p in todays money. But it didn't finish there. There was and ha'penny (0.205p) and a farthing (0.102p) both copper. You got a lot of stuff for your £1.00 back in the day and a with £1.00 in your pocket in pennies you had 240 large copper coins which probably weighed around a lb. Hope that clears it up for you
  11. Our 11 year old John Lewis own brand has nine settings and fancy lights that count down and it beeps when done. It would feel insulted if I put a crumpet in it and would probably kick off.
  12. Were there any blue headed people or teddy bears?
  13. Bad Santa 2. 6/10. Great if all you want is inter person insults and banter between the three main miscreants. Kathy Bates makes up the three perfectly as his mum. However, the film itself is predictable but was funny for me. The "un adulterated" Directors cut is probably worth waiting for next October.
  14. We villagers used to frequent the Embankment from 1974 onwards until segregation when we used to go in any part of the ground which took our fancy on the day. There were still sleepers then for the top four rows up to the back under the scoreboard. The path in the photo nearest the camera is 2/3 the way down from the top which gives you an idea how big the embankment truly was. The terrace rose more steeply after that path. I'd reckon 1973 to 1975 given the women coat fashion of the two ladies in the centre of the picture.
  15. The Way Back (2010). 7/10. Enjoyed this as the females of the house were watching "Miss Saigon 25 years". Based around quite a few factual incidents whereby Inmates escaped from Siberian Gulags in the 1940's and walked south to China and Nepal and India.
  16. You are right, I stand corrected. Stone age people used to worship rocks, trees, sun and moon. It is completely disrespectful to them for me to smear them with anything Islamic.
  17. spot on
  18. Erm that might be because they aren't intentionally undertaking or planning mass murder in the name of a stone age belief system.
  19. 9:30am and my thermometer reads minus 4C. Frost so thick it looks like its snowed. The sort of day for a long walk.
  20. Bought a fourth generation apple TV broken with a Kodi custom install off eBay 9 days ago. Could not get any streams to work on the various Kodi apps installed after trying up to Xmas eve then gave up and contacted the seller for help. Came back to it today and everything works and have been very impressed especially with the 1080p streams for films. I suspect someone accidentally rubbed it with a balloon during the Xmas festivities.
  21. My advice would be to look for a cheap second hand Garmin 310XT on eBay. Been using ours for 7 years now. As much or as little technology as you wish to apply and they work well.
  22. Tom Hanks double tonight. Sully 8/10. Decent especially the aircraft scenes. Inferno 4/10. Poor. Not a patch on the other two Robert Langdon films. Silly plot and too complex for complex sake. The only thing I took out of it is that wiping out half of the planets population in order to save the future of humanity is probably not a bad idea!
  23. Its the Daily Mirror. They and the Guardian would walk over hot coals in bare feet in order to deflect blame from where it ought to belong. Freedom of movement and lax security lies at the feet of Merkel and her EU cohorts. Its contribution to the recent atrocities in France, Belgium and now Germany cannot be swept undertake carpet. This article attempts to do just that.
  24. Took wife daughter and her boyfriend. No change from £137 before beer and food for what was a very poor quality game in bloody freezing conditions. Thats why the crowds aren't coming back. Bolton were playing the game out most of that second half in 2nd gear. Nearly cost them 2 points.
  25. The Germans seem to have lost something. The conversation between the characters Alison Carr and Saul in a Homeland episode says it all.... A disgruntled Carr says,' Whats wrong with them, these new Germans?' Her exasperated boss replies, 'I know, they used to fight like hell.'
