I used to know em as the Pink Manfredi and the Green Manfredi, both on St Helens Rd. The latter built the new factory. Didnt know they were brothers. My dad rented a van off the fPik one for a year then once he was confident it paid bought his own van and then bought ice cream off the green one. Both Manfredis and Sabini had pitches on Botlon market which was a real all year round money spinner. The green manfredis wife used to sell from the market van.

In the last 6 years of his life my dad was an ice cream man, 1970 to 1976. Made a fortune. Anyhow he used to buy his ice cream from that Manfredi (if it was the one with the green livery).
