  1. will he walk if david gold and kaz brady don't back him with a large budget when the transfer window reopens in the hunt for that champions league spot. Will it be a similar situation to when he went to Phil when we were in a similar positon? I somehow doubt he'll be quitting a few games before the end of the season if they don't.
  2. That will be down to his big feet.
  3. good point with feeney, I didn't take that into account. Don't agree with Danns, I like danns but it wasn't really rolling for him today IMO
  4. Ratings Lonergan - 8 Great save when needed Vela - 7 Not a natural full-back but doesn't let the team down. Mills - 6 Needs to keep his passing short, wasteful distribution at times. Dervite - 7 - Very promising player, growing and brings the ball out well. Ream - 8 - A good performance. Danns - 6 - Up and Down Pratley - 7 - Consistent energetic performance, needs to get his head up at points. Feeney - 5 - Wasteful crosses and didn't look in the mood to get forward with energy. Chungy - 7 - Another consistent performance, Its great to see him back but this guy will have lucrative offers from Santa. Clayton - 6 - I like this young lad. 18 months and he will be snapped up. Davies - 7 - Dangerous, needs more support. Unlucky with crossbar shot. Could get double figures.
  5. I was surprised to see Rob Hall take the free-kick after Max Clayton scored this beauty. http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/great-free-kick-max-clayton-scores-for-u21s-30.10.14-2051302.aspx Wrong side I guess.
  6. Ah, I missed who was responsible for that at the game, great save though.
  7. Tim Ream was MOM for me today. Devite looks like he could be a really good player for us.
  8. A lot of people didn't get in until halftime due to a massive cockup with tickets. Big Q's to get in at kickoff and I saw people coming up the stairs at 43mins gone whilst getting a early pint in. Messi and Ronaldo were then taken off at half-time. I hope the people promoting it did lose some mulah because some of the "punters" certainly didn't get the value....
  9. I'm in, Ronaldo vs Messi at £40? You know both of them we will be going at it too.
  10. Most of them have already finished the bundersliga......

    Kellett

He didn't look out of place, the lad have confidence in his own game, nice to see from such a young bolton lad.
  12. 3-1 win for the whites. Beckford x 2, Mason.
  13. Not a hater, and we will see, but.... I think all these names are smokescreens to the final placement in Phil Brown, who has indicated that bwfc has been in touch AND has played fire with some of the comments about taking the job. IMO. Time will tell. I don't think Phil has the $ to hire such a manager as the 5 listed in the BEN. I hope I'm wrong. / End quoted post....forever.
  14. Worth another £5 that. One thing about Steve Clarke, unless he has pissed people off he's has good connections with the top teams for loans. Its the only way we are going to get to see potential stars playing for the whites for a long time....
  15. Went mad and had £5 on Hughton and Mowbry. Would love steve clarke to come.

    Gartside

With the managers, I think Gartside has been unlucky. At the time of the choices, they all looked suitable (ignoring megson). However, we have had a curse on us shortly before that shitter Evans crocked SH. Its been a tail spin since. We have changed everything around, squad, formations, managers/coaches and still the smell is in the air. Rock bottom is not far off, as mentioned earlier, Phil sounds like he's not loving it and I think somebody new with fresh ideas might start the changing of the fortunes with the club. It might need that change right at the very top to give us the lift that we desperately need. Gartside's in his 60's anyway, so how many years does he have left? Now might be the best time to start taking his tan more seriously....
  17. Educated guess at Adam Armstrong at Newcastle, loan.
  18. Firstly, has anyone mention CYL going over to the corner kicks but never taking a short one? Whats that all about? CYL made Barton look shit today, so that in my book, is a good performance. QPR are a well rounded talented team, people are forgetting that. We played a promotion team. Beckford with confidence would have took the extra touch, and scored. Its been a long time since I've seen a bolton player run through with pace like that though and was encouraging. Hall looks like a young ricky gardiner with a end product and needs to start. I can't believe West Ham let him go. Raw Talent. Yet to see andre moritz give the ball away, looks like a class above. Same with Medo. I think we are going through a transition as a team but we will be ok, We have played some good teams... I'm not worried.
  19. I never said he wouldn't. I'm with you on that he knows how to finish. He just needs a chance....has he had one yet? As a lazy striker myself, It only takes one M.Ricketts to finish a game. The sky camera's always bring chances....I'm looking forward to it as I think it will bring the best out of the players. Knight, Tierney, Eagles & Medo to step it up.
  20. Dougie seems too keen on Beckford to me. Its like a striker, who has seen his strike partner have a good day, thinking thats happening every week. But what is the issue? The lads so far don't want to slip him in.... Do we persist with it? push the lads to make Beckford our gamble of the season? Or do we try let Ngog be the main man up front and lead the line? I'd say that with the assistant D has, the trust has to be put in... Even if it means playing the guy that was earning less than me before he came to the sunshine state of Horwich, starts. Time will tell, my moneys on palace to finish the prem with the least amount of points, to sack off that, for this, takes a gambler.
  21. He won't be off in the window then! Either that and he has already signed for Swansea...
  22. The first choice pairing should be Rooney and Welbeck. Thats the strikers sorted as they know how to play with each other (in the showers).... Against the French we should play 5 in midfield with Welbeck running his knackers off for 60 mins, then Carroll on to smash the tired defenders like the cup final. Sturridge my last player. Young players in who won't feel the pressure as they having nothing to lose.
  23. Nobody's mentioned the influence of Jack Whilshire. Maybe's he's put in a good word. I'd take him.
  24. Proud for Beckham to represent us. You don't play for Real Madrid without doing something right. The way I see it is, The lads set for life money-wise. He could do whatever he likes. He could sit on a beach with midgets feeding him grapes til him and his wafer-thin wife pop it, and he'd still have money to burn. The point is that he's still out there, doing his charity work, being productive. He's English and proud, get behind him.
  25. Lets get another Davies on board! Think he would do well!
