  1. Know what you mean. I would always go to new grounds (IE. Bishop Auckland) this week and I just can’t be arsed. Been looking at the fixture list and I honestly can’t see me going to an away until Brum in late October. Once that starts we all know how it ends .

It would have been farcical had they won it. Awful performances from start to finish. So so lucky to even get to the final and the right result for football. Water finds its own level eventually. 58 years. Absolutely staggering.

    This isn’t a political thread 😆
  4. Scargill fucked up big time. If he had gone to a national ballot, I think they would have “won”.
  5. Yes he’s finally admitted that you can’t play silky football all the time to get out of this league. It’s a winter sport, often played on shit boggy pitches, especially away from home. You need to adapt and find a way. He’s learning at last.
  6. Happy with that 👍🏻

He surely knows he’s not liked. The pressure will eventually tell and as much as I personally don’t like him, his record stacks up. Just play well and if we lose at least we can say we were beaten by a better team.

England were more fancied than Spain before the tournament started. If they play to their potential therefore there is no reason they can’t win. Whatever happens Sunday should be a great atmosphere in our towns and cities. One last push as the country sure needs a boost.

They may do but I don’t think he will.

The pundits were right though and at the end of the day that is their job. Neville, on many occasions throughout the tournament has been very honest in saying many England teams before have “fucked it up”. Apart from the first half yesterday they have been awful and unbelievably lucky. Nobody can deny that. I guess they were told to rein it in after their criticism of the group games. It definately lessened yet the performances barely improved. It’s typical of this piss weak society we live in. Previous Managers and players, have quite rightly got some right stick and they don’t know they’re born these days. Anyway somehow they are in the Final and on the verge of becoming national heroes. They will have to play much better though to beat the Spanish. Fingers crossed anyway.
  11. All our worst fears are burying a child, never mind two and your wife. Truly horrendous. RIP.

It’s about time the obvious world class talent England possess are allowed to express themselves. Very lucky to be here but you rarely win anything playing poorly for a full tournament.

Really fancy France tonight and I thought they would be clear favourites. Just like England, they will surely come good at some point with their quality.
  14. Not getting any better is it & the long range isn’t looking good either. Me and my partner are wrapped up on our walks similar to what we are in December 😆
  15. My son went to the same Grammar as I did 30 years later. Still streets ahead of all the local comprehensives in every single aspect. I do accept there has been a massive change in the culture over that period as teachers don’t have the respect and authority they once had.
  16. It’s a well known fact that the majority of teachers time these days is spent controlling the unruly element. The kids who genuinely want to learn are subsequently overlooked. Grammar Schools typically have far less of these types.

Is this really so much better? I know it’s a low bar but I’m not seeing it.
  18. At least it’s a start for Reform. From little acorns mighty Oak trees grow.
  19. Obese parents who spawn fat kids. NHS drain. Firing squad.
  20. Mansfield is far far worse than Chesterfield. Neither are a town of choice mind.
  21. No need for that. He traveled on his own to bloody Rotherham on Xmas Day 😆
  22. Know the town well. Its got a Spoons hotel too 😎
  23. I personally am happy with that. New ground for the lad. NYE in Chesterfield I think. Cant be any worse than NYE in Barnsley a couple of seasons ago 😳
  24. Been Glastonbury on my own a few times and more recently took the kids too. This years line-up is awful. They agree.
  25. For many, footy away days are more than anything a social occasion with mates. A bloody expensive one too. When kick-off times become “anti-social” then people will naturally drop off. The travelling groups then get smaller and the whole thing eventually implodes. It’s sad but inevitable I feel, especially if we continue bumbling around at this level. The better away days are already mid-week, likely to be moved to mid-week or in the depths of winter. Anyway, let’s see what all the revised kick-off times are.
