Hunt
I can't really see the logic in shipping Hunt out, in fact it makes no sense at all. Relatively young, could have some improvement in him, probably not on massive money, lots of experience in the top flight. Could play CB if needed. Unless Hunt himself is agitating for a move this is a bit silly

Strongest Team...
Wow - Taylors shooting as bad as Gardners? Really? Ricky has surprised me, wasn't a big fan of him in midfield (great fullback mind). He's done well lately though. Samuel has also done much better than I thought he was capable of, he had a very very solid game yesterday.

Stiffs And Yoof
There's a common theme there though - 3 of the 4 just are not good enough for the top flight, in the cold light of day I know what you mean and we are guilty of being harsh on 'our own' But it's not like we produce an endless stream of quality and ruin it

All Is Forgiven
Damn I've not been p?ssed up in a while Must get round to it soon

Well Well Well
Disagree He didn't quite produce around the box today but he's often a class apart the rest of our side in my opinion, in terms of his touch and vision See the ball for Steinsson to cross for Gardner

Who Would You Bring In As Manager?
Yeah Dowie would be a 'mare. He had one red-hot spell when he took Palace up through the playoffs from nowhere. That's it. He's another disciple of dour football too. If Gartside makes ANOTHER lazy appointment he wants stringing up. Lee and Megson were given the job without due process in my opinion. It's Gartsdie's job to find the best man out there, not just give it to someone already here or someone he already knows.

Do Your Head In
Yeah that's weird I can't MAKE it change direction but it just does, quite randomly

Rate Megson As A Manager
40/100 Good solid signings - though if Muamba, Elmander and Taylor don't come good soon that aspect will suffer. Could be argued he's not bought what we actually need - creativity / pace. Stable team selections, patience with players - a good thing We are quite tight defensively Speaks common sense generally and HAS had some bad luck BUT Negative selections especially at home Negative tactics and formations, again especially in the vital home games Baffling (non-)use of substitutes, appears to be overly cautious Overall his record in the premiership speaks for itself. Doesn't seem to have what it takes. He's had plenty of games and his win record is abysmal.

The People Chanting For Allardyce At The End
They are actually not though, not in this context anyway... Managers leaving and then poaching staff is par for the course in football and business in general. Same goes for senior people making excuses like 'taking a break' or 'more time with the family' when they leave / are sacked.

The People Chanting For Allardyce At The End
Get into the real world fella
-
Gary Megson
This can't be true He is doing wonders 'behind the scenes' - Garty said so

Russell Brand & Jonathan Ross
I'm not a big one for 'grassing' either But it doesn't deflect from the fact that someone has done something wrong to begin with I don't understand being more angry at the complainers than at the two 'men' who were abusing an OAP, that doesn't make sense to me I think some people just believe that folk should be held to account for their actions. I do. It irks me when people get away with abusing other people.

Fao Asda Pizza Makers
I used to LOVE Vesta beef curries as a youngster Had one a couple of years back just for old times sake... it was truly awful, processed garbage, folk shouldn't be eating like that in this day and age Sorry

Well I'll Be The First To Say It...
Not sure what point you're making to be honest. I was picking up on this 'guaranteed top 4' talk, it's news to me.
-
Well I'll Be The First To Say It...
You're well into the realms of making stuff up now mate
-
Russell Brand & Jonathan Ross
Hi-f?cking-larious Gotta be the cheapest laugh I've ever heard anyone attempt to get If it were two sixteen year olds it'd be poor form, but a 47 year old 'man'?

Well I'll Be The First To Say It...
When you compare Megson's football and Allardyce's you are missing a key difference. Results.
-
Who Would You Bring In As Manager?
Hang on - you've said in that very post he DID work to (and succeed) on a budget. He fell out with the club in the end because he wanted more. Which he was denied. But which has been granted to Megson. You can't have this argument every which way you want it.
-
Who Would You Bring In As Manager?
Fair enough Not sure of the relevance to this argument, but fair enough anyway
-
Well I'll Be The First To Say It...
Why? It's not like people are claiming en-masse Allardyce was some flexible football tactician are they? Difference is, Allardyce's teams played with a PURPOSE, they seemed to know what the plan was. At the moment the plan seems to be to hang on from the first whistle.

Who Would You Bring In As Manager?
Then Gartside is as wrong as Megson IMO First team results are the be-all and end-all Gartside should provide the transfer / wages money (that we can afford), the manager should work to that budget and be answerable on the basis of how the team performs Everything else is detail - surely everything the club does ultimately has the first team in mind ? I'd suggest Megson should focus less on the peripheral stuff and spend a bit more time explaining to his players how they should score goals
-
Russell Brand & Jonathan Ross
Exactly, that is the only point that matters Does insulting old folk pass for wit these days? And of all the people to defend it, it would have to be that sanctimonious tw?t Crawley wouldn't it
-
Russell Brand & Jonathan Ross
Utter utter c?nts Could write an essay on this pair, each one the epitomy of the southern sh?thouse A 47 year old man phoning a pensioner, saying his mate had shagged his grand daughter. His kids must be proud. What a guy.

5 Out Of 9 League Games
Jesus wept, have we really not scored a goal from a single considered piece of play this season? I'll give Megson this; he's honest when he admits he can't show them how to attack.

This Is What Our Manager Thinks Of Us
That's what gets me, it's just delaying the inevitable. Always was. He wasn't gonna give us 5 years of relative success was he? Was ALWAYS gonna end in tears. His appointment was as unadventurous as his tactics.
