The word 'arrogant' gets bandied about a lot. And I don't think in many cases it fits. But our refs truly are arrogant. I think the fact it's a bit of a closed shop, they (in reality) are protected when they cock up, and the fact they were all probably terrible at football and very unpopular - but now have the chance to be a part of the footballers 'scene' - gives them a horrible attitude. We've all seen it, give geeky folk a bit of power and they go mad on it. C?nts the lot of em.

Correct, refs couldn't often swing a game the way of the underdogb, but they could much more likely give a helping hand to the big club if they needed a goal. However I very much doubt this goes on, I just think our refs are shockingly arrogant, have no actual knowledge of the game, and love the big stage. Like the Reading 'goal' there can be no justification, from that distance you simply should be able to tell what you've seen. If Styles still believes that was a penalty, he shouldn't be a referee. Worryingly it wouldn't surprise me if he still did think he was right.

One or two tracks are a bit pointless, most songs are over-long, and it's packed with Beatles and other 60's 'lifts'. You can always tell what sort of stuff Noel's been listening to when he wrote each album. But some belters on there. Quite different for Oasis. Reminiscent, but not as quirky, of the White Album. I'm definitely one of the 'anti - that's how football should be played' brigade. But yeah, that last night is pretty exceptional. I'd only say that it's hardly like Wenger is bringing hordes of English talent through. Some yes. But mainly foreign. Signing your Fabregas types at the age of 16, you know, he's always gonna be a special player. So he doesn't get a lot of kudos from me for that. And paying massive money for young players like Walcott and Ramsey (and Jeffers and Pennant) - fair play, it's the only way Arsenal can compete, and he's a great manager. But if he was doing it at say Derby, and not paying huge amounts to lift the top young talent at a 'nearly ready' stage, it'd be more impressive...
